During my time working with English Language Learners (teaching reading, writing, and speaking skills), I have found that learning English can become less intimidating when we begin by using topics we are familiar with. Keeping that in mind, I would like to open this forum with a few points/questions.
a) What is your name?
b) Where are you from?
c) Describe your household. (siblings, parents, children, ...)
d) What do you do? (student, teacher, engineer, ...)
e) Anything else you would like to describe about yourself.
f) What do you hope to receive help with in terms of your English skills?
In case you are wondering what the above points/questions have to do with learning English, they are based off of ideas that we discuss in one form or another every day. So, don't stress. Answer the questions to the extent you feel comfortable with. I look forward to reading your answers and helping you to the best of my ability.
