Hello everyone,

This may for some feels like a thought provoking discussion, because there is so much mystery about death.

Oftentimes what is unknown to us, what we can not relate to, that we often find scaring and difficult to cope with.

Death is one of the mysteries as I believe mankind will never be able to find the answers to what happens when we step out of our earthly life. Often we hear about people who had near death experiences and one get the impression of something peaceful.

Have you ever thought what happens few seconds before a person die? Have you ever been close to a person who is taking their last breath? Have you ever hold their hand?

What thoughts comes through your mind? Have you ever thought what happens after death? Or do you think everything ends there where the particular person take their last breath?

Everyone is welcome to participate in the discussion. Please share your opinion/thoughts.

It is expected from everyone who participate in the discussion, to keep a good and decent tone. Thank you.

  • Hello Mishaikh,

    I did not post this discussion having any religious believing in mind, though I was very aware of that topic can be very closely related to religious beliefs, because when we talk about death, ending of life, there is always comfort to be find talking to a Priest or Imam.

    Everyone has their own thoughts and beliefs based on this topic, and everyone’s views was equally welcomed, that is why I wrote this;

    “It is expected from everyone who participate in the discussion, to keep a good and decent tone. Thank you.”

    You are clear in your point, and I understood it perfectly fine, though I do not completely agree with it. Are we not all beloved children of God, then how come some are going to suffer?

    The persons as I have seen taking their last breath, has always somehow looked being in peace, they did not seem to suffer.

    I do not want to argue, I do respect what you expressed, just I have some other thoughts. I think you have already written that blog, right?

    Thank you so much for participating and sharing your thoughts on topic :)

  • Hello Rosemary,

    It was because of something happened, therefore the thought and discussion. It somehow feels being in such a helpless situation, seeing a life slipping away and one do not have the power to bring back, because someone else has that power.

    I think when we are younger, we do not pay much attention to the question about death but as we grow older thoughts do cross our minds because we hear and see things related to it.

    Of course you love life also because of your children, you are the most important person in their lives - A mother has that place. When we have persons in our lives that are much more precious to us, than our own life, we just value life in other way.

    I wish for you always to stay strong and healthy for yourself and your family.

    Yes, I do agree, death is unavoidable and we all have that in common.

    About your Grandfather and the experience as He shared, many people who had near death experiences has told about a light, and a calming feeling, so maybe there is something about it.

    The poem is very saying.

    The true inspiring people are persons like Anita Moorjani, who had been through so much, struggled and fought back to life. What is amazing is, these kind of people values life in a completely different way, because they have experienced living life on the edge.

    Go back and live your life fearlessly :) Waaaooow.

    1. The most important thing - Love
    2. Live life fearlessly
    3. Humor, Laughter, Joy
    4. Life is a gift
    5. The most important thing - Be yourself

    It is really such an amazingly inspirational speech given by her, I loved every single word as she expressed. Thank you so many times Rosemary for sharing.

    Also thank you for your always so marvelous contribution. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on topic :)

  • Hello Roman,

    What I do think about that? Here is what I think please;

    You are talking about animals/pet, I can follow your thoughts on that. My sister have three dogs and some cats, oftentimes she tells about different kind of experiences she has with them and it shows that they are very considerate, caring and attentive.

    I believe animals are able to feel exactly the same way as humans, Just they are not able to express themselves verbally as humans can. I believe they can feel illness/disease, they can feel pain and they know well when their time has come.

    Yes, I do agree it is difficult to imagine, because no one knows for sure what will happen exactly, thoughts are based on conjectures. Every person has their own beliefs according to who they are and what they believe. So as for the points as you listed.

    I do too believe when we leave the earthy life, that we are going to be united with our families.

    You wrote this;
    “The saddest thing for me is to think that I will just disappear...”

    And I have to say, oooh, but you know even if we may disappear, we will always leave behind some memories and traces, just like you are here, you have friends some of them are your close friends, that means you live in their hearts :) So, now you tell me how come you can disappear so completely?

    Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts on topic :)

  • Hello Estanis,

    I know the way I posted discussion, it may give impression of sharing personal experiences, but that was not exactly the intention, opinions on an abstract level were just as welcomed, so it is understandable.

    Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts on topic :)

  • This topic rather based on religious believing. (People may have viewpoints out of the threshold of religious logic.) I know one thing, and have been/is being taught through lectures (of scholars), I will mention very briefly, that this world, where we have been sent physically, is a place of examination, here we have to act in the way our Creator wants us to act, fulfill all the responsibilities towards him/herself, towards mankind (it covers all relationships). If it is done in the way the Lord wants us to act, then there is no worries about the 'life' after that, otherwise what will be happened one can guess.

    For death, (dying) it is also taught us, that for a 'beloved person to the Creator' the dying (extracting/dragging of the soul from the body is like you are pulling a thread from a butter.  Otherwise it is like dragging of a fine cloth out of thorned bushes. I will write a blog later on this topic that how sometimes our creator gives the discretion to his beloved subject to die whenever they want. (Of course from the folk tales).

    I hope I am clear in my view point.
