Some researchers suggest that slow learning is caused by some mental disabilities. However from psychological point of view, there are other related factor ranging from environmental, historical, family, lack of attention, lack of motivation, ignorant teacher; just to mention a few.

Learning new languages takes a long time because of many reasons: firstly, the educational system given by the school is not appropriate, which teaches students to learn from translation for example but they do no start from the basics by using other methods like using visual aids, miming some action for the nauvice students.Secondly, the teacher's skills is not enough to give a course or he might be excellent at the language he speaks but he is not able to transfer his knowledge.In some cases, some people become a teacher because it's the work that they have found when they were unemployed in that time.And last, lack of equipements or using some the oldest ones are still practiced at some schools; it especially reaches the under-developped countries.
