The word LOVE is very evocative of a 'mostly' positive and fulfilling emotion, but there is another aspect of LOVE, however. If LOVE is UNREQUITED, it is the SADDEST word.

In the night, the pride sleeps and the longing wakes up alone devouring her and the heart writes the same daily story........with the ink of tears that now she wants to go in long travel,,,,,,but but,,,,,,,,,,anyone knows where can she find the way to a place in which her heart is not following her!
The gossiping ladies' whisper echos in her ear their sarcastic laughs says "hurray, at last he forgot her" she helplessly bows her head and her silent tear wonderingly wails "has he ever remembered me to now forget me?!"
The love you referred, is the higher stage ISHQ, which everyone could hardly have.
Allah's says "be mine. Everything in earth and heaven will be yours"
Thanks Sewar for such a nice comment.

That is true my friend, if love is unrequited, the word love will be the saddest one. And your world will be drowned in a horrible silence. But my friend, is love enough to have someone heart??? I don't think so. I think we just need a moment of God's blessing to put our love's hook into the hearts of whom we love gently. Finally, thanks for the nice idea, God bless you.

I am touched, Rose. Only those who suffer can feel, who feel can put them in words, and so here you are with all your touchy words. Thanks a lot.

Love can make you laugh; love can make you cry. Our greatest joy and our greatest pain come with the feeling of love. It depends if love is fulfilled, unrequited or even unrequired. LOVE is the word with uncountable different meanings and as so with uncountable different feelings.
If we face an unfulfilled love, we must not be ashamed to weep. Is it right to grieve and tears comfort our soul. Tears are water, the base of every life. But there must be the sunshine also. A wounded heart will heal with time, and when it does, it will be open for a new love. Water makes all living beings live and all plants thrive. Rivers carry everything away. So we hope the rivers of tears will carry away also our sadness.

Love is an indescribable thing and has a subjective meaning for every person. It involves all feelings into one. For me, unrequited love is a sad thing and I can't say it is the saddest word. But the saddest part of love is when two souls are really in love but there is the difference that blocking their love, namely religion. Then, they have to separated and find somebody else whom match with themselves. It is not easy, but they have to tackle and forget those feelings.

Paihili, main bola, sari dunya manta piyar. You can love for the sake of targeting something. In my opinion, Reciprocal love is important. In that case, sadness will never come. You know how to excite us, Mr. Mishaikh with these emotions. Thanks for sharing.
