The word LOVE is very evocative of a 'mostly' positive and fulfilling emotion, but there is another aspect of LOVE, however. If LOVE is UNREQUITED, it is the SADDEST word.

The gossiping ladies' whisper echos in her ear

Love is an indescribable thing and has a subjective meaning for every person. It involves all feelings into one. For me, unrequited love is a sad thing and I can't say it is the saddest word. But the saddest part of love is when two souls are really in love but there is the difference that blocking their love, namely religion. Then, they have to separated and find somebody else whom match with themselves. It is not easy, but they have to tackle and forget those feelings.
Love can make you laugh; love can make you cry. Our greatest joy and our greatest pain come with the feeling of love. It depends if love is fulfilled, unrequited or even unrequired. LOVE is the word with uncountable different meanings and as so with uncountable different feelings.
If we face an unfulfilled love, we must not be ashamed to weep. Is it right to grieve and tears comfort our soul. Tears are water, the base of every life. But there must be the sunshine also.

Water makes all living beings live and all plants thrive. Rivers carry everything away. So we hope the rivers of tears will carry away also our sadness.
