Tourism is year by year increasing worldwide. In my view, its effects are linked to a wellfare not only to the visitor but also to the visited environment.Another positive effect is the exchange and mix of cultures that help to diminish racism and make people openminded. Some may think that tourism has more negative than positive effects such as globalisation and its 'evel' effects.Share with us if you find this interesting and have your own opinion on this topic. Finally, surely you have a 'dream' destination. Where is it and why would you go there?

Yeah.. something told me you travel often haha... you got making me green with envy with your list, I wouldn't mind starting to cross them off from tomorrow haha... o.k. Just half of the list is enough by now.
Of course Filipinas is in my things to do list. I wish they'd be closer :/
Wow.. Bet! I take my hat off, your presentation fits perfectly with my own view! :D
... of course it revives us, yes! That's the word I'd say for such new experiences positive or not so positive we live abroad. I use to say that, finally that's what we're gonna take with us after death; experiences :)
Thanks a lot for comenting Bet.

traveling to a new country means a lot of unknown things are going to be happened! sometimes it is about food, tradition, clothing, how they look like, how do they pronounce your known words and many more. You may also get chances to laugh loudly seeing your foolishness and how do you react to a new thing! it also helps us to see our known world in a very different way. We get chance to ponder over our realization about life. And, it is redundant to say it revives us!

Although I'm not sure about your reply, do you mean you don't travel because you're not wellcome everywhere since you are Arab?
I see non Christian people or inmigrats in my town every day and so far they're happily part of this society. I won't deny there's racism, btw mostly in ignorant or radical people, but I think it's not fair to say that a whole country or society don't have a good impression of any other group. Well, now it's coming to my mind Trump's new migrants policy and I must say it's a very disgusting law.
You're so right about your belief of humans, ALL WE ARE THE SAME.

Just if I were able to stride everywhere .See human faces , taste their cuisines , feel their beliefs and walk around their monuments . I believe that all human are the same no matter what their backgrounds are .They share many common things.Honesty , it is just a dream :) , and due to many political issues related to terrorism most countries do not welcome arabs or Muslims .

Haha... I see shopping is unavoidably linked to most of tourists, yes I guess it's another way of enjoyment. Once I remember we had to buy another bag for the items we bought during the trip.
Agree with the advantages you wrote, as for the disadvantages it depends on where we want to spend our savings. The travel fatigue? Haha... sure, but what a nice fatigue, no? :D
Regarding your destination, wise choice! It was one of my coolest trips. It won't let you down. Wish you visit it some day :)
Thanks my old friend, always glad to see you.

Hello Estanis!
Great topic!
I think tourism has advantages for both countries and visitors....it is a major source of income for some countries....but pollution to environment. For visitors advantages are:
Enjoy different types of vacations
Visiting historical and famous places
Learning about other cultures
For some visitors ( especially me) shopping is also enjoyable
Disadvantages are:
To spend your savings
Travel fatigue
Your last question:
I like to visit Thailand someday.

we shouldn't go to restaurants while there're people starving.....:))))) :D :D Sometimes, I have dinner or lauch in restaurant, too. :D
Hmm... My word is just this. "Not to be excessive... " ;)

Yes Onee, money is needed for traveling, btw surely less than many might think, it depends on our budget and tastes, anyway our preferences on spending the money has the last word. By other side, blaming on the tourists for the suffering of people it's not fair, that's similar to say that we shouldn't go to restaurants while there're people starving.
Well, if I lived in your place surely traveling wouldn't be too important to me. I wish I could see your land again. You're lucky. Thanks a lot for sharing your ideas Onee!

Sightseeing sometimes spend lots of money.
Touring in excessive way is not what I think as there are people suffering on the other side. :)))
Well, sightseeing will really open our mind and we'll feel like the world in our hand. ^^
Everywhere I go, it should be with the loved ones. ^_^
Aloha Lucía... :D
So Hawai? I don't really imagine you surfing on the waves Haha... o.k. Send us pics in hawaian dress when going ;)
As for the rest of your reply, I expected it from you. Totally agree with your positive effects. The negative ones you mention are well known by Spanish citizens in several regions but they're little collateral damages.
We coincide also in the priority of spending money, I'd say it's my best invest actually and try to do it whenever time and circumstances allow me to do.
Czech Republic is the only country in west Europe still to be visited. Or you may be considered from the East? Hmmm... I'm confused :D
Thanks for dropping by :)

Hi Estaaaa,
what an awesome discussion you came up with! I love traveling! I spend lot of money on it and I will never regret! Instead of living in luxurious house, I enjoy traveling with all the experiences it gives and that's the point..honestly I don't think there are more negatives than positives! Tourism is sth what makes our life more interesting, we gain also knowledge by visiting historical places, we meet new people, we get to know, how people in different countries live like... We have opportunity to see totally different culture, traditions, cuisine and honestly such experiences are worth it! Anyway each coin has two sides and everything is about people and their attitude.. so it is really sad to see, what trash tourists are able to leave in the nature, it is sad to see drunk people who make noise at the hotel at 4am etc.
Ehmmm and my dream destination....hahaa... I have many.. but top ten is Hawai :)
