Religions and Religious Harmony!

In the world, people believe in different religions on the basis of various grounds. Every person has a fundamental human right to be a follower/ believer of a religion that exists in the world. On the other hand, people have a fundamental human right to be an atheist who does not believe in religions. Actually, a religion means a collection of belief systems!  We all live in a heterogeneous society in which people analyse the world in different ways. Further, we all have a democratic right to scrutinise the issues in the world on our religious faiths/believes and so forth, but we have no right ethically or morally to persuade others directly or indirectly to join with us. I think the bottom line of all religions in the world is humanity, so it is easy for people to think about religious issues in a very balance manner without going to extreme ends. Thus, in this context, I feel that it is not necessary to highlight our religious faiths/believes always when we live in the society. I think that the most important point is “unity in diversity” or in other words, how to live together with peace and harmony respecting to all sort of cultural-religious-ethical differences in the world. If there is a threat to humanity, we all have to be against it as a single unit without considering our differences. So, I feel that the religious harmony means “we all have to look at this world with a broad eye going beyond religions boundaries.”I would like to invite dear friends, please make a constructive criticism (or positive criticism) on this issue. The world becomes renew and moves forward when different views meet together.

Good Luck!

  • Dear Camilla,

    THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Yes, you are right! People are different in the way they think and so, it is said that we live in a heterogeneous society. One person believes one concept while another person believes a different concept. I think most important thing is “what we really practice in the world/society”, or in other words, how we put our concepts/believes into practice. If our concepts/believes are unable to provide practical solutions to burning issues of the majority in the world, I feel those concepts/believes are unsuccessful and on the other hand, if our concepts/believes are able to provide practical solutions to burning issues of majority in the world, I feel those concepts/believes are successful. If our concepts/believes enhance the humanity in a genuine way within a practical framework, I feel those concepts/believes are long-lasting and difficult to rub out from the world.

    Good Luck!
