Our Dreams And Reality!

For me, dreaming is really not an unrealistic mental process occurring in human mind because it is a known fact that many well-known people have invented new devices as a result of dreams. As humans, we all have dreams within our context. For example, if compared the dreams of Bushman living in the African continent, who is traditionally hunter-gather, with a person living in an ultra-urbanized city, we would understand on how environmental factor is determinant.

We all have a common dream to develop a better future than the present. Hence, everybody works hard to make a better future for their children. One generation thinks about “what will happen to the next generation”, or what about their kid’s future. This chain-like process moves from generation to generation looking for a better tomorrow than today.

However, a report that was published (18th January, 2013) recently by the Oxfam institute (a UK-based charity) shows a totally different picture about our future. According to this report, the path that the world has already selected to move on will end up with a mess if not taken right measures to correct it. Thus, I feel that it is a red light to people who are concerned about “the future of humankind”.
