Order of Sentence

"Lazy a boy as he is, he is knowledgeable."

Would someone help me to analyse this sentence's structure ?

I think that 'lazy a boy' should be 'a lazy boy'.Or the whole sentence should be "lazy boy as he is, he is knowledgeable."

I hope you can give me a hand and help me to undstand the grammer behind it.

    A+ for Attainment, E- for Effort, pretty much what my report card read for mathematics whilst I was at school.
    Although I'm a native speaker, I'm not too great at grammar, but I would say that the structure of this sentence is correct.

    I am still a little confused about it.I personally think that when some noun phrase behind 'as' the position of article and noun should be exchange.
