Lying is a bad habit and it does not belong to the good manners of the person in dealing with the others. In order to mislead them intentionally, he or she gives a false statement. Some might say, it is a white lie. It does not hurt anyone.
People lie for different reasons. To cover someone they know or someone they love. By the way, who lies more, men or women?

Regarding the using of the indefinite article "a", how did you know that I wasn't referring to a specific person? I was referring to both genders male and female. It was obvious from the question at the end of the article. Besides, look at the phrase, (in dealing with the others), it shows exactly what person I was talking about.

Jain dobry Rysperki, dear Rys, let me add something which is new here. Maybe some of the members know it. I, myself find it absurd. Some people lie to look good and modern. I have seen many types of those people. I will give you an example: (A poor man tries to show his girlfriend that he is rich and he is from a high level family. He tells her in the phone that he is the boss at work and that nobody dares to disobey him). The problem with lying, it is easily forgotten and sooner or later the truth will come like the sun.
