Is RSS the cause?!

For the attention of EC Technical Team:

Re: RSS or Really Simple Syndication is not as easy as it sounds!

Today when I signed in and went to "My Page" everything seemed perfectly normal. The different segments on my wall appeared as they were all this while in the following order:

1. Welcome to My Page

2. My Videos

3. Latest Activity

4. My Blog

5. My Discussions

6. Comment Wall

As the first thing, I started using the "+ Add RSS" function on my wall to display a notice for fellow members to see. It's about the virtual class Phonemes and Pronunciation that I'm currently conducting at our EC.

This is the screenshot of what I entered:

After adding these details, I saved the RSS. Then, I moved the RSS from the left margin to the middle, right below the segment 'My Discussions'! There was no sign of any weirdness! RSS set nicely were I placed her! (It cannot be him, I guess! Just kidding!)

After this, I went to check one of my sessions 'Study Session 3' of the above mentioned virtual class and back to My Page. To my utter shock the segments went haywire!

I understand that a few other members have faced similar trouble! I'm very sure that the problem is caused by the RSS and NOT because of some animated graphics or gifs posted! Hope the technical team will look into the issue. Is RSS the cause for the problem?! Let's find out!

Note: Those who face similar problem could try a ‘simple trick' that may work for you as it bore fruit for me! I got a big pomelo...! (Just kidding!)

My RSS works without any problem but I have;

1- Lynne told me that she couldn't visit my page that a message appeared on the screen,

2- I couldn't use podcast option in my music box, how you can see the podcast option ?;

first go to "my music on your page " and then press edit button after that you will see the "play button and find "the podcast option" in it.

I hope to see EC generate a solutions asap :))

Good to see you in any manner, to begin to take part in your latest pronunciation process, just waiting for some motivational energy because of we are in Ramadan and apart from this I'd had many trips in this year which wrecked all my schedules, in fact that summer days have full of unexpected events, isn't it ? :))

  Actually, I'm playing a litttle 'trick' here! This is only a 'temporary solution' - what is 'visible' to me is 'invisible' to those who visit my page. Please refer to the above reply area for my explanation and the screenshot of my page captured just yesterday. Thank you, Tara! It's very considerate of you to respond to my problem. @ Tech Team

Here's something that I noticed after shuffling the 'segments' several times!

The 'Welcome' segment is always displayed in the FOURTH place from the top - in other words there will be THREE segments above it all the time. So, I placed the following three segments, which aren't that important to me compare to others, on top. Then, I edited the display option of all the three (+ RSS, My Groups and My Photos) to 'show' '0' zero items. This made the three 'invisible' to those who visit my page. (Obviously, as expected, it's 'visible' to me instead!)

I confirmed it by asking a fellow EC member to take a peek on my page. She saw that all my segments are now displayed like they were before. However, the cause of the problem is not solved. This is only a 'temprorary solution' from my side. Hope my observation will be taken into consideration by the tech team. Thank you!
