How to inspire people? That's a tricky problem for me now.I'm a team leader in my department of New-media.but the fact is our people are not good enough to handle The new-media stuff,they even don't like it,they came just for a steady salary.My boss tell me to make good works,but I can't do it with myself.It took me a lot of time to train them and inspire them to learn something useful,but what I did seems useless, they just remain in the same place.when you just put a little pressure on them,they will complain about their low salaries. What should I do?

Tell them how good work with great appreciation and experience it would be if they succeed in reaching the goal of the current mission. If they want the higher salary, they could change their job and/or make this the great experience.
However, if it is possible, you could share the problem with your boss relates to salary.

If nothing works, try to seem more competent for them. I mean, sometimes people just can't bear being too incompetent, comparing to others. Maybe it will inspire them to do at least something.
Don't be strict be cooperative try to be their friend :)
thanks for your reply,but I'm afraid be strict with them just make them leave my team quickly,and all the things left to myself.That will be a big trouble for me.
U should set a plan first a big general one with ur goals and things u ought to do in a whole year . Secondly , put smaller plans for months then for weeks .
Monitor ur employees divid the work among them , be sure to put the right person in the right place and see how things will end
You can promise them promotions or bounces to motivate them more or give them an extra time off or an early leaving if the accomplish work in time .
Make meeting and brain storm ideas with them to come up with new creative things to do
