    Try to make him be ashamed of his behavior and change it, for example invite him to dinner or buy him some gifts on father's day.

    Dear Huta, if I were that person, I would continue loving the girl. I would also respect the dad because it is my girlfriend's dad. And, no one can disrespect you if you respect them. Even if they disrespect you, after a while when they see you respect them, they will be ashamed. In other words, I would never disrespect him and also I was persistent on what I wanted because this is my life and he doesn't have the right to choose how we should live.

    I love this from Mother Theresa, It may come handy:
