I would like to know one thing. Do you think that people we meet online are the same in real? Well, I have experienced the situations when some cool, freaky, funny people I chatted with turned to be totally different when it came to conversation over Skype. Suddenly they were not so self-confident, nor talkative. Have you experienced it too?

Hi Luci. I have never experienced that. But, most conversations I had on Skype were a little bit weird. I'd rather talk on skype with a group of people, and about specific topics, not personal things. Sometimes people get nervous because it's like speaking on the phone, but in another language, that you don't master and we end up forgetting words or forgetting possible interesting things to talk about.
About the other question, I don't think people we meet online behave the same way in real life.

thank you for your points!!! I believe that by talking to somebody via Skype we can little bit change this virtual friendship to real one because we can see each other, we are not just sitting next to each other. Don't you think so? As for being boring - maybe I didn't express it properly.. my point was that some people are extremely differnt and I have no idea why. One of the reasons might be shyness or lack of self-confidence and believe that their English is good enough.
P.S. Thanx for disclosing your secret but I hardly believe that :-D

shyness and the poor English I think is the reason of this change , Writing is easier. even we can get some help from google translater :-D

ohh finally somebody with the same experience!!! Thank you for your comment and I am still thinking what else can cause it. Hamza mentionted good point - SHYNESS. Your points are also interesting because maybe people in different cultures express themself differently.

heheh if you ever talked to me in real life or through skype you would find me very shy, less talkative :D hehe
so it's normal, ppl are talkative on chats and shy on skype :P

thanx for your response, btw I am sorry to tell you that I am totally the same and there is no difference between what I say in the chatroom and on Skype :-p maybe on Skype I am even worse :-D Being shy is one of the points, I do believe it. Btw it is also about age and experience, self-confidence etc. I believe in some years you will tell me something totally different :-p
