Being successful in career has its price, often personal life becomes a victim of professional one. Somewhere on the way of getting some financial reliability, people forget to spend time with their family and that’s the main reason to end up with destroyed relationships. Most of you would think: “Well, it’s not a big deal, it’s just a matter of time managing” and you would be right, but balancing between personal and professional life, considering the fact we have just 24 hours a day, could be a really hard task. Of course there is an exception to every rule. Sometimes happy family life and successful career are not mutually exclusive and maybe you have witnessed successful people with strong family relationships or maybe you are one of these exceptional cases.

Let me know your personal experience and point of view, guys!

  • Different people have different definitions of success.

The president and CEO of the first company I worked with told me the first time we met - Don't let work interfere with your family life.  I have known a lot of people who have retired and I have never heard anyone say "I wished I had spent more time working".

Unfortunately he retired a couple of years later and the new management didn't have that philosophy.

Learn to appreciate what you have and you can balance career and family.

  • Hi Emma! You are right! But I think that also there are some people who are lucky to have two loves: 1 - their job. 2 - their family. And they can manage their time of the day in the manner that both will be satisfied family and job:) But I haven't this personal experience.
