  • Many people mention what they give and always expecting the return. What a heartbreaking if a person remind a person (who has been given) about his/her gift.

"Nothing better than forgetting about what we give"

    Very good discussion, Mishaikh. :)

  • Hello, I’m hesitant to agree that people who give silently are most generous, although I like the idea of giving without a need of praise or reward. Well, I don’t think it’s bragging when we share our good deeds to other people, it’s the intention behind that, maybe we want to inspire other people to do the same for the benefit of others, people see what’s on the surface only, there’s always more to that. How can a person truly explain how to do things if he/she hasn’t experienced what he/she trying to teach/preach? Just like when we are telling our children what they suppose to do in case somebody needs a hand, it’s an encouragement lesson. What’s matter most is whatever we do, we should be sincere and willing, besides there’s always an eye out there that keeps track on everything we do.

I think the most generous are those poor who still give in the state of their inadequacy.

Well, I don't know if people who give silently are the more generous persons...

I myself usually don't talk about such things, because I don't like it. - I can give, because I was already given. Therefore, no reward (or praise) is needed! - I don't like when people talk much about their "good" deeds. That really bothers me! But this has nothing to do with religion in my case.

It's just my point of view. Give or/and help - but don't talk about it!
(That doesn't mean a person may never mention that he did something for others. Only: Don't make a fuss about it!)

    Give silently!
The most truly generous persons are those who give silently without hope of praise or reward. What do you think?
  • Thanks Sewar for your comments to the discussion. I appreciate that.

yes my friend, the most truly generous persons are............................or reward because, these kind of people the light of God is flourished in them strongly. And they just want, badly, its shine to be increased more and more in their hearts and souls in so much to be as a glorious light on the top of a great mountain. So, there is no doubt that; they donate money silently for God sake. Just, for God sake!!!! God bless you my friend. And thanks a lot for reminding us of one of Islamic rule.

  • Bilkul janab Mishaikh. Give secretly or generally but expect no praise or reward but only from Allah. You remind us of our religion. It is good.
