I have learned a number of business letters types and their formats, ex. full-block, indented etc. This letter formatting is not a problem, but the terms used in a business letter is always a head-ache. For instance, when we inquire, or when we write a credit/loan request from a monetary institution/finance department of the company where we work. And some guides will be highly appreciated here, thank you in advance

  • Hi Dinar!

Letter writing is an “Art” itself, I suppose! All of us can write informal letters but when it comes to writing business letters, it’s entirely a different story. One has to be talented to do so! There are formalities; etiquette, etc. that must be adhered. As it’s your best area, perhaps you can share your vast knowledge with the Club members.

By the way, welcome toMyEC”. Wish you many pleasant days ahead, Dinar. Bye!

    With Best Regards,

    • Hello Gabriel,

Good to read your reply. As I said, writing business letters need language skills as well as rich vocabulary of the fields, which I must admit that I am still limited when comes to this vocabulary stocks. For instance, when you write an INTRODUCTION, we see that most of the time begins with "Dear Sir/Madame," then after skipping at a least one line, it is started with, "First allow us to introduce ourselves..." or directly " We are a company dealing in the field of... etc". And the representation of the letter itself have to be seriously considered that the contents should reflect good impression of the company and attractive in the sense that it is easily understood. So if you think you can provide me with an example different with those I have given above, I would appreciate it. Thank you very much.
