  Hello forum users, I hear a lot that listening to  music is a reputed way of improving your listening and speaking skills in English. Days ago, I readed a news on the Guardian about a research made in England, that claimed if you sing in a second language , It's  twice more likely you can learn to speak better that language, because there are strong link between music and memory. The research claimed that the method "singing by yourself" takes advantage on traditional teaching methods like "Listen and Repeat" used by several language schools. So, I ask you: To what extent, do you think singing is a good method for getting better speaking? Do you agree that singing helps a lot to fix in memory language skills? More than just the "Listen and repeat" method?

  MY OPINION: I think It's not the only method, but one of the best methods available.       When listening music you can "kill two birds with one stone", that is, you can improve in two areas of learning simutaneously, such as: LISTENING (what happens first when you're learning) and SPEAKING ( what happens next, moreover, increases the more you listen ). So, for me, listening to musics it's simply a good method if you're searching for reaching a good result in speaking. That's definitely an incredible way, I hardly ever can run out of listening to one single music, It's just impossible for me! Music and learning are bosom friends, blessed be who invented music!! Of course, It's important you learn from what you enjoy, learning from you are familiar, because, at the end, you will make most of the new language skills you've acquired. So, It's highly indicated you listen to musics you really like to listen. By the way, why not listen to one good song right now? I hope you enjoy it!
