I just checked the story (and movie) that you mention by Carson McCullers and reminds me a bit of the Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Looks cool :)
Btw, about the recommended book, I could have mentioned The Heart of a Lonely Hunter, that was recommended by a super cool friend and I LOVED it :)) but I didn't add it to my list 'cause I don't really have the book (I borrowed it from the library)

7. I remember now that was probably the first book/story that made me cry! But well... all the Andersen tales were super dramatic... and more for a child! All these classic children's literature traumatized me XD
Anyway... taking this small look at your bookself, I can say that I feel like we could have a similar literature's taste and I'd like to s̶t̶e̶a̶l̶ borrow some of you books :))

Yes, I have some books that formed the basis of a film, but I want to mention only one of them. The title of the book is "Alex Haley's Queen" by Alex Haley.

No, I don't have a book that was published in 2020 because, as you mentioned, the year has only just started.

Yes, it is a German book with a number in the title.
The title is: "The 1000 Best Cocktails" (LOL! ... but I really have it.)
I have read a few books with a number in their titles, but I currently have none on my bookshelf.
4. A book that a friend recommended?
Yes, I have such a book and the title is "The Book Thief" by Marcus Zusak. Incidentally, this book was also made into a film.

Yes, I own a lot of books written by female authors, but I read more than I own. I don't want to mention just one of them, so I'll leave it.

Yes, of course, "Grimm's Fairytales"
7. A book that made you cry?
Yes, that one I mentioned at 4. "The Book Thief" ... but it's not the only one that made me cry.

No, I don't own a trilogy. To be honest, I don't like trilogies.
