  • How about a cute cartoon turtle? A turtle is a persevering, patient, peaceful and longevous animal. Thinking of it, "little by little one goes far" often occurs to me. As for English learning, we also need strong willpower, enough patience and daily slow but persistent practice. ;-)

I can't wait to know our mascot! Yeah!

    • So true!  I always try to remind learners that this is not a race! Learning English is a lifelong journey. You gave a wonderful description of why we should have a turtle as a mascot. I'm convinced!

  • Hi Tara,

I agree with parrots, they are very funny.

    • Thanks Saba, I knew I could count on you. I owe you one! :D (or maybe two?)
    • Hi Estanis,

I hope you win this time. Parrot is the best choice.

  • I asked chatters about this questions. Some said parrot, other said cat and even gorilla. I think about an animal that also can represent the diversity of MyEC members, but I haven't found it yet. I thought about peacock. It has colorful feathers but I think it's not talkative.

  • Yeah!!
I totally agree with Tara and I also love travelling so much. I would be a good Ec ambassador.

    Vote for me!! :D
    • Lol, are you a talkative parrot, Estanis?

Tara should make a list of criteria if you would be a mascot!

    • Hello Nadiyah,

Well, you know I'm learning but let me tell you I'm doing my best here in Ec :)
    • I support your ideas about mascot for EC. Parrot can learn to speak like human beings. It can repeat the words that it hears time and again. By the way what about pigeon? Pigeon can fly high in the sky with faster speed. It can fly to far off places. It has hundreds of varieties. It was used to send messages from one place to another. It is the symbol of peace and harmony. That is why dove is released at the start of Olympic Games.
