Possessive nouns are used to show possession (owning, or having). I live in Buenos Aires Argentina, and here we receive the water of Parana river (remember the Iguazu cascades), all this water come here. We don't have any problem with the water. I don't even have a counter for the consumption of water in my house.Other parts of the country don't have the same luck. For example in Mendoza, they have to rationalize the water to irrigate the vines (they are famous for the wine).
