Dear Captain,

Oh, what an exciting day! I can enjoy another 3 years' campus life again! I have passed the post-graduate entrance examination. My new school is far from home. But don't worry, it is not a strange city for me since it is Fay's hometown!

After this summer, I will fly there and start my peaceful campus life. I'll continue my instrument learning and write to you. My major is nursing. After graduation, I will work in the gerocomium. I chose the major by myself.

Captain, can I ask you a qu

Dear Captain,

I am learning Xun recently. It's fired by clay pottery, one of the oldest porcelain musical instruments in our country at present.

Xun's history can trace back to the later part or the stone Age, and its rudiment were stones used by our ancestors for hunting. There were cavities formed naturally on them and gradually became an instrument as time went by.

My teacher is an amiable grandpa. He is 77, an excellent musician. He is good at many instruments such as Guzheng, Pipa, flute, viol

Random Thoughts

When it comes to "Carmen", the wild lady in a crimson dress, stomping with the lively music of flamenco first popped up in our mind.  But don't get carried away, "Carmen" should be a common name around the globe already.  "Carmen City", in the southwest of Mexico, is unexpectedly mesmerizing as well.  Why and how?  I'm in love with a boy from there, so I hope this explains everything.

WAR IS A RACKET.

"War is a racket. It always has been. It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious.
It is the only one international in scope.
It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives.

A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of people. Only a small 'inside' group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few, at the expense of the very many. Out of w

Hello guys, I want  to let for you a picture about the  features of a perfect language learner that was shared on a Facebook group which I take part. GOOD NAME

I am an Indian, to be precise a Keralite (a person from the state of Kerala, where the native tongue is MALAYALAM - the longest palindromic language in the world). In my state as well as in other states of India, people commonly ask What's your good name? instead of What's your name? No Englishman will ask such a question. Indians think that it is a polite question. But the insertion of good does not make the sentence polite. A teacher will ask their student What's your name? but a student shoul

THE BEST GRAMMAR

So many people have asked me what the best grammar book in English is. To tell you the truth, there are many grammars that are well worth mentioning. One of the grammars worth mentioning is A PRACTICAL ENGLISH GRAMMAR by Thomson and Martinet from Oxford University. The language used in this book is very simple. You can learn English grammar very easily and elaborately from this title.

A COMPREHENSIVE GRAMMAR OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE by Quirk, Greenbaum, et al from Pearson is the most comprehensive

LET US and LET'S

LET'S is not the contraction of LET US.

LET'S is used for a suggestion. When you tell your father Let's go to the cinema today, you are just giving a suggestion. Here both you and your friend go to the cinema.

But when you tell your father Let us go to the cinema today, you are just asking the permission of your father to go to the cinema. Here your father does not come with you to the cinema.

The us in Let's is inclusive of the person who you are talking to but the us in Let us is exclusive of th
