Have you heard about Jollibee or have you been there? This popular fast food chain in the Philippines hits the Filipino populace with its ever dear burgers and mouth-watering “chicken joy”, a famous fried chicken dish. But this time, it’s not the food that made Filipino crazy about Jollibee, it’s the stories they made for this coming Valentine’s Day entitled “Kwentong Jollibee” (Jollibee’s Stories). To be honest, I’m not a fan of Jollibee but I’ve been there multiple times in favor of my younger siblings and niece who loves to be there, for their indoor playroom and kiddie meals. And, I’m not Valentine's enthusiast either as for me it’s only a myth that tickles and spices up human imagination for eros day. :D
Though with all my heart I’m a LOVE supporter and a cynical romantic, I found these videos so tear jerker and I don’t want to miss the chance to share these with you guys. For sure, you have an idea what this blog wants to say, yes, yes, yes! It’s about LOVE, and as a normal human being, we all are familiar to this joy-irk-heavenly-hell emotion. The following videos will show us different kinds of love, well, you know, the setting, scene, and actors are very Filipinize as these all were Philippine made, yet I bet, most of you could relate here.
Note: The following video series contains a scene that will make you fall in love, and cry! ( Okay, at least for me)
Unrequited Love- VOW
The story tackles about the sacrifices the person is willing to go through for the love of his life. Sorry to say, the love turned out unrequited/ unreciprocated.
At the beginning, you will see a wedding scene that the bride is marching while a man’s voice recites in the background (Filipino language- many thanks to the subtitle, facial expression and normal gestures that helped to make this comprehensible). While the lady is approaching, the sequences of flashbacks were shown, from the first time they met (obviously in Jollibee) and how they went through almost everything together (of course, with Jollibee meals). As the short film ends, I’m expecting and I will stake my chocolate, almost everyone is expecting that they will end up together as a happily married couple…but no!!! OMG! A tear fell on my cheek to know that the man turned out to be the best man, instead of the groom. He is living in the BEST FRIEND ZONE. “A moment of silence for our fallen brother in the friend zone” –Facebook comment. Ouch!
Never give up Love- CRUSH
This brief film is about a look-at-her-and-dream, glance-and-hide, secret-food-trip..hahaha! The love that persists and wins! The scene looks 80’s (look at the outfit and hairstyle :D), a lad who constantly gave Jollibee’s cheeseburger to his crush.
At the beginning, the ambiance marks heartbreak as his crush was already with someone. You might think that his love will be in vain and there’s no chance for them to be together, but the luck is on his side guys, the ending tells differently as the two turned out to have ended up together! In a reunion affair, the young man who now turns as an elderly gave the elderly woman the same cheeseburger that he used to give his crush in the past. The note in the last cheeseburger said that he was sorry for being late and explains why it’s because of their grandchildren. :D
Enduring Love- DATE
The short video is the last series of Jollibee commercials, and speedy netizens reacted to the heart-aching-tear-jerker account about the boy who accomplished his father’s dying wish for Valentine’s date.
The dying father talks to his wife through a recorded video and explains that in his absence the son will look after her. Gosh!!!! Explaining the video is impairing my heart now! Okay, needless for further description, their actions’ speaks louder than my words.
A Million views and thousand shares had been done online, (can’t help it) and I would like to say that the fast food chain hits not only the affordable food market but the heart of its consumers, you can see how simple Filipinos are, it’s quite sad that not all countries have Jollibees. The Valentine series are highly commendable for me and that screen quality is good and relative.
So, what kind of love you have there? When was the last time you said I love you to someone?

I didn't know about Jollibee..:P
Thanks for sharing this blog..
I'll share also such kind of video..:)
Stay Blessed..
Hello Risty! I have never heard about Jollibee (I would like to be there now and eat a burger :D)
But I know well about such commercial films of love for the Valentine's Day. There is a Greek product. A chocolate. It does the same thing every year when Valentine's Day comes. These commercial films are very beloved from people. They are special (if I can say that) and they have special song for background. Many people go to cinema this day to watch it. I am not fun of these movies because are very touching and I can't stand this. :D
And this is a reason that made the chocolate more beloved and more consumer product. That was their aim I guess!
Anyway, allow me not to answer in your questions :D At least not in public :D
Thanks for sharing a romantic blog :)
