Tara, I think your current profile picture works very well for you. I actually like it better than the one you had with the headphones on your head. I just went back to my old profile pic a few days ago. It really does help us remember each other, especially for those with very common names.
Maybe if we want to show our friends new photos, we would be better off sending a photo. Another good way could be to make a temporary (1 week) change of profile photo and then revert to the original. I agree 100% with you about the greyheads and also about the difficulties of recognizing friends if they make a radical change in their photo.
