You may have noticed so many blogs have already been published so far this month. Yes, we're participating in this month's writing challenge - 460 blogs for this month (Tara's 'Blog June' challenge). So, no wonder you might be a little overwhelmed by all of the blogs published for June. I've already published 11 blogs this month, not to mention other active members, some of whom have published much more.

You may be accustomed to several blogs a month, so you may not think it's a good idea to publish so many blogs in one month. You may feel being bombarded with so many blogs in such a short period of time. I hope it's not driving you up the wall.

Challenge means tasks or hard work. It's not always so easy to write blogs for a writing challenge. It's not a piece of cake to read all of the blogs, either, let alone leave a comment on every blog you read. Challenge, however, can also mean an opportunity to improve, or to amuse or soothe yourself or others. Only when you practise writing can you find how well or bad your writing skills are. So, it makes sense to write more - 'the more, the better'.

I hope you'll follow suit and try to write a blog for this month's writing challenge. Enjoy this 'Blog June'!

  • Expector,, thank you for sharing. what about these two sentences?

    I'm not used to it.

    I'm not accustomed to it.

    Wrong or right? Is there any difference?

    Thank you, doc. :))

  • @Mishaikh

    Yes, if only there were so many active members here like you.

    @Seeker

    Thanks.

    @petrichor

    You're welcome.

    @MARY

    Great! You really have  a point there. Yes, some members here may not think it's a good idea to write for a writing challenge. They don't seem to enjoy the word 'challenge'. But, what if a writing challenge happens to be so fun? Keep it in mind, however, that most of us are here to learn English, so whatever is helpful can be worth a try. Thanks.

    Thanks for your nice comment. Yes, it may be so challenging to read all of the blogs, let alone leave a comment on every blog you read. You're already an active member, so try to help read the blogs. And, try to write one whenever you feel like writing.

  • I think the important it's not the quantity but the quality. To write something when you feel 'inspired' or when there is something you feel like sharing.

    I come to EC from time to time, and every time I sign in, I usually post a couple of blog post. I find Tara's challenges very interesting and useful, but at the moment i've never participated. And this is not for any special reason, it's just because i feel like posting my own stuff and ideas.

    Anyway, i agree that writting is a very good thing to improve and it's very good if people here is feeling motivated to write posts. That's really good. But I don't think that slogan 'the more, the better' is a good one... I'd say: 'Write what you really feel like, have fun and you'll learn without even noticing'. Think about what you want to write, or what you want to share, if it's important for you or you think would be useful or interesting for others. Because if you have fun and enjoy doing whatever (writing a post in this case) you're going to forget 'challenges', 'rules' and everything else and you'll keep always motivated (not just this month)

  • Members should get motivated to reach the target.  I feel we need more bloggers.  So people get set and go!
