Writing prompt: Wish and hope

well, Last night there was a devastating storm. Don't know why this year we are getting more storms. People are also dying  from lightning. I wish there were no more casualties this time.

I heard you are going to fly very soon. I wanna wish you safe fight. Hey, what are you going to do in this up coming new year? Do you have a plan to arrange a party. Okay, at first let me wish you  good luck!

It seems it is going to rain all day long. I hope, The roads will not be packed.

Sometimes, I wish if I could go back to my childhood! Really, how beautiful were those days.

Anyway, how about your new job? I hope, it wouldn't be tiring like previous one. And, let me wish you good luck!

  • Yes, the word 'wish' can be so tricky.

If you say 'I wish I were a native English speaker', then I know you're not a native English speaker. And, by saying that, you were using the subjunctive mood

But, you can say 'wish you a good trip', and it's most likely that they'll have a good trip.

    Hope you get it!

  • I wish you become a good writer, I hope you will keep writing.

    Good work afro.
