Dear S...,
Really, I am too happy today to get your letter in this morning. Thanks for writing and to break the silence! Yes, I have not been writing you for a long time. But, of course, there must be some reasons.
First of all, My mother is very sick. She has been suffering from diabetic related various problems. Doctors keep saying to admit her into a hospital but I just can't make the decision yet.
Moreover, I have been trying to complete my M.Phil course. Sometimes which seems impossible. But, you know, I have to do it.
Anyway, how was everything in these months. You just wrote in a nut shell! It seems, you still have been pondering over our friendship!
Be positive, girl. It does not matter whether I write you regularly or not. Just remember, I have been trying to write you every moment!
Well, weather is good here too. Birds are chirping in the back side woods right now. Gentle breeze has been blowing away. And, it has been drifting my mind towards you. How are you, girl?
Oh...last night I watched a movie, actually I just watched the half of it. And, the rest portion has been lurking me to watch it again. But, I have no time at all. Do, you like to get the name? If it is, write me soon! I really have been waiting to get the time back when we wrote each other more often.
Take care.
Yours,
.....l.

Thanks.
Good job!
The present perfect continous can be so tricky. Sometimes you should use the present perfect instead of the present perfect continous; sometimes you can use both (both okay and mean the same). Some words are not usually used in present perfect contious tense, though.
By the way, you should have used the present continous instead of the present perfect continous in this sentence: "Birds are chirping...righ now."
