Afro: Hello, Tiana, how are you and how about the weather over there?
Tiana: Oh, thanks, I am good and it is sunny right now but it rained last night.
Afro: You had rain! OMY, here we have winter though it is mild right now. But, we had several cold waves in this year. And, during cold wave, we really suffer a lot, specially poor people who practically have no warm clothes at all!
Tiana: Really sorry to hear about it. Anyway, how many seasons do you have in Bangladesh?
Afro: Here we have six different seasons. Let me say, they are Summer, Rainy, Autumn, Late- Autumn, Winter and Spring. Among them we suffer a lot during Summer and Winter.
Tiana: Why do you suffer more? But, I am amazed to hear that you have so many seasons!
Afro: Yes, it is! Actually, here Summer is really so hot. You may say it is furious Summer. During that time Sun wants to parch us. People like to stay inside home. Rich people use Ac but think who are bound to work outside and do laborious work. Even, I sometimes have headache in the evening if I forget to take a bath.
Tiana: And, why do you suffer in the winter, is it too cold?
Afro: No, it is not like that. Usually, we get temperature around 12-24 Celsius in our capital Dhaka but temperature falls down more outside of it. Specially, in the northern part of our country it seems less than 10. Sometimes, they can't see the Sun for several days. Horizon hides behind thick fog. And, along with it, our houses are made for Summer season , not for Winter as Summer stays for the long time.
Tiana: Thanks, Afro for letting me know about your weather and I hope to visit one day to feel that furious Summer!
Afro: You are most welcome.

Thank you for the interesting dialogue Afro. I hadnt thought about the monsoon as a separate season, but it does make sense. Today I'm happy because it is a holiday, the sun has come out and the temperature has risen above 0. Everything is covered with deep snow in my part of Japan and many people are going up our mountains so they can ride their snow boards or skis down the slopes.
Thanks, Tara and please let me know.
Great writing!
In Canada we have "heat waves" and "cold spells". I'm not sure what they are called in British English. I'll have to check!
Thank you very much for reading.
Nice work!
I never heard whichever country has 6 seasons, though. It's so interesting. Yes, it can be so unbearable to stay outside during a night like that.
