Have you ever thought of plastic pollution? Where all this plastic go?.....How much plastic garbage is produced daily?
Plastic pollution is also referred to as “ White Pollution”, that has caused serious environmental problems. Plastic garbage pollute water, soil and even air, because they don’t break down naturally in the environment and therefore continue to exist and cause damage for hundreds of years. When plastic waste thrown into the ocean, it breaks down into smaller and smaller pieces by exposure to the sun or other factors such as wave, sand action……those small particles contain toxic substances such as PCBs that are very harmful and eaten by marine animals, and then passed up humans through seafood. When tons of plastic garbage buried under the earth, again they are fragmented into smaller and smaller pieces, reaching microscopic size over time, remain everywhere and are almost impossible to clean up. They are light enough to be scattered by wind into the air and water and then absorbed by human body through breathing or eating.
Now, we can see how big is the problem…..but what should we do…..?
The best thing we can do is to reduce plastic consumption. Do you know that approximately 500 billion plastic bags are used worldwide annually? In other words, more than one million plastic bags are used every minute. We must take some action or we may drown in an ocean of plastics.
How to reduce plastic consumption:
Here, I wrote 3 ways to avoid excessive use of plastics, you can add it.
1. Don’t throw away a plastic bag after a single use, wash and reuse it several times.
2. Don’t use disposable plastic dishes, instead use metal or glass dishes.
3. Carry your to-go mug in your purse avoid using foam cups.

Plastic Bags Pollution
Hi Zahra!
Wow! Great comment dear Zahra. If all people do these things, then we have no plastic pollution. I think it's not very difficult to reduce plastic use.
Thanks dear for your informative blog and the like.
Thanks Tintin for liking my blog.
Hi Arif!
You are welcome.
Ban on plastic is very effective in reduction of plastic pollution. Thanks to all countries that have this policy.
Hi Bhiga again!
I don't know why the picture of MT Everest had some errors ( I couldn't see it on my computer) and it was the same with the picture that I put in comment for Tara, I'm very sorry to delete them. Thanks for your nice comment.
If we don't appreciate positive blog, we have no right to castigate negative topics. :D just like a child when uses abusive language, we scold or frown at him, but when he does anything good, we appreciate him. Some moral responsibilities, as human, lay on our shoulder, don't they?
By the way, polythene bag is also banned in my country. As long as I remember, few months ago, our Chief Minister issued strick directive against polythene bag. But what I learn that there is dire need to create public awareness as much as possible to overcome this issue.
Hi Rim!
That's a good idea, jute baskets, bags,.....are good and comfortable choices. Thanks dear for your comment.
Saba, jute made objects may be a good solution.
Hi Bhiga!
How terrible to hear that plastics reached even Mount Everest, perhaps it is impossible to clean up our world. We must stop it from now, tomorrow is very late. Thanks dear for your nice comment.
