- What is the relevance of learning English in your life, in your society and in your environment?
Ans)
English is supposed to be our official language (In Pakistan). This language rules in government matters, business, and in some schools whose medium of teaching is English. So this is essential for us to know English if we need a job in a reputable organization, so I did learn English. English is the requirement of my job.
My first job was with an indenting company. You must know that indenting business is purely based on correspondence. When I joined this company the marketing manager took me to a row of cabinets and asked me to read all the files of those cabinets. They were 8 cabinet consisted of four drawers each and each drawer had capacity of 50 files. I read them all in six months. They were the correspondences with the parties interested to import things for their industrial and commercial use.
Before that I happened to give private tuitions. Prior to appearing before the students I had to prepare myself so that I would be able to explain extempore whatever queries were there in their mind. The foundation of English got solid by way of teaching.
That is the relevance of learning English in my life……….the requirement of job. I have worked in the field of sales and marketing, import and export. All these require the skill in English.
In my society and environment knowing of English is not as essential as in the professional field, but if a person is well versed with the language, he/she has and outstanding position.

@ Anne:
It's very kind of Expector, but actually I am not as fast in speaking as in writing, because I write official/unofficial material (in English) 9 to 5 all working days, whereas there is a very negiligible chance to speak in English.
Doc said that you could speak English so well. Oh, how I wish I could have the honor to talk with you someday.
Thanks Expector for your attention.
I know English is your official language. So, no wonder you can speak English so well.
Thanks for sharing!
You got it right, Mishaikh!
You read the files during your rest times. You must be a very workaholic person.
Thanks Elena for your consideration.
Thanks Onee for your proxy!
Thanks Anne, I used to visit the customers first or in second part of the day, rest of the time I read the files. In case there was no visit, I read the files through out the day. That was not boring for me, but most of the people do not find it interesting.
I have made the necessary corrections to the text as advised.
Teaching in private is called tuition. That was not tuitotrial. It pertains explaining the subjects to the students, and helping them to do their homework. This is not an easy work. Because most of the time you have to do it extempore, and if your are not prepared, this is not a good sign for a teacher.
So this is a must...??
...is purely based on...??
