It was such a lovely day that I wanted to remember for the rest of my life. There was he with all his charms. And it was I who kept watching him.
The day we first met all he wanted to buy me was a pink rose. But during that time it was not available. So It was a white jesmin that he handed me with a nice and innocent smile.
And then there was a ritzy restaurant where he wanted to take me for supper. It was he who enchanted me by his talkativeness. Though later he told, it was I who spelled him out by my unspoken words!

@Afro
Thanks for the message on my page. The structures can be so confusing - don't confuse a 'result clause' with a 'cleft sentence'.
You use result clauses to talk about the results of an action or situation. The conjunctions you need are 'so', 'so...that' or 'such...that'.
Let's look at your sentence again: 'It was such a lovely day that I wanted to remember for the rest of my life.' You used 'such...that...', so it's a result clause, not a cleft sentence.
But, if you rephrase the sentence this way: 'It was (on) the lovely day that I wanted to...', then you're practicing the cleft sentence structure.
Hope you get it!
Thanks, everybody for reading. Yes, Misha I must read again.
What a romantic story Afro. :D :D
Afro Dear, you made me flyyyyy by reading that :D
thumbs up!!!
Afro read carefully Expector blog to understand Cleft Sentences.
Wow, I like it so much with this story.
Thanks to share with us :-)
Very nice, Afro. I enjoyed your story.
Unspoken words are beautiful. Often, more beautiful than the spoken words. We have a saying that goes like this, "You say it beautiful when you don't say anything."
.... it was he with all his charms, who was so attractive and it was I who kept watching him. ....
well done dear Afro.
What a romance! I was enchanted by your story:)
Re corrections: Let's look at this sentence: 'It was such a lovely day that I wanted to remember for the rest of my life. ' The sentence is not really a 'cleft sentence' - the structure 'so/such...that' is called 'result clauses'. For example, 'It's so cold outside that we have to stay home.'
By the way, can you fix this sentence? 'And then there was a ritzy restaurant he wanted to take me for supper.' Hint: You need something between 'restaurant' and 'he'.
