Writing Challenge - I have a dream

When I was a child, I intended to be a pilot of  modern airplanes. Let me explain: I have always liked the exciting world of aviation: modern aircrafts, great airlines and respectful aeronautical industries like Airbus or Boeing, by the way, keep on being them, the most preferred factories  by me,  when it comes to the production of airplanes. I even started a collection of airplane magazines called "Flap Magazine" in my young ages, that today, unfortunately, is finished up.

Nowadays, my plans are a little different than they used to be, yet, I haven't left to enjoy airplanes, in the other way around, I still enjoy a lot these wonderful inventions. For me, airplanes are, without a shadow of a doubt, the most genial creation of society ever. It's simply amazing to think how a man called Santos Dumont , there in France, times ago,  could have planned,  so perfectly, such a spectacular flying "creatures". Today, I think, as a goal, about speaking English fluently and comfortably ( if possible like a authentic British  - LOL - Oh! I love that accent so much! ) to  travel to some countries that draws my attention and know there, friendly and interesting persons ; ). That is the goal  which cross my mind at the moment.

My dream can have changed from my chilhood to these days, but anyway, I don't get frustrated because of this.  I'm super excited about having a new goal , which i like to seek day by day.

In order to achieve my goal, I'm practising a lot listening, speaking, reading and writing in English, this way, I try to get in touch with foreigner friends in social networks as much as possible,  listen to podcasts in English and read and write in many sites of the Web. However,  my weak point is in my need to speak much more English, so that I can  give rise to the needful confidence when speaking in real situations.

  • Hi Daniel,

Thanks for taking part in this month's writing challenge. I loved reading about how your dream has changed. My favourite part was where you described the goal that is crossing your mind right now. Sometimes our dreams and goals change depending on our mood!

Keep up the great work. I'm sure you will achieve your dream if you continue on this learning path. I love the British accent, too!

  • Very interesting dreams. Thanks for sharing with us.

I hope that you are soon fluent in English so that you can travel to the countries of your dreams.

    Good Luck.

    :)

  • I also dream to speak English with a beautiful and enviable accent!

Good luck with your dream! ;-)

  • I love English accent too. :-) Good luck in achieving your goal in speaking English fluently (and I hope with that English accent that you love so much)
