The good thing about blogging in a community is that your blog will not merely be words on the pages of a website but through the reciprocal actions of the community it will be transformed into a dynamic platform alive with interaction, learning and most of human connection.
So This blog I make now is an invitation to interact with me through "Snapshot Stories" Post a snapshot from your life and tell us the story behind the picture. Here's mine:
Last April my extended family and our respective children (21 persons in all) went out for a picnic day at the beach. After lunch as we were lounging outside the cottage I noticed all the kids stayed together in one side of the cottage the adults at the opposite side. You could literally see the generation gap from that view. The kids were also busy with their gadgets IPhone, IPad, etc so that our invitations to take a walk at the beach fell on deaf ears. Then on the beach we saw a volleyball and immediately I shouted "Dodge ball!" Soon my brothers and sisters and I were running, dodging and hitting each other with the ball like we were kids once more. We must have looked like we were having so much fun because suddenly out of the blue all our kids joined in and soon we were all playing like crazy.
That afternoon the line between parents and children, old and modern was blurred and we all become just one big happy family playing on the beach. If joy could be capture, frozen in time, this would be it...my snapshot. So the title I chose for this picture is "Happiness is ...dodgeball!"

This is my snap story Alice, without shot. Your blog gave me a glance of a memory that I almost forgot, thanks for reminding me. Here is the story or snapstory :)
My Mom and Dad are bookworms. And I am a gamer. One day we went to the city park, I prepared full power bank, portable WiFi and made sure my gadget couldn't break when I played it, meanwhile my parents took their favorite books to read.
Arrive at the park, we placed ourselves in our comfortable spot under a big shed tree, I was busy gaming and my parents were busy reading their book. None of us talked or paid attention to our surrounding then suddenly there was a shout . My mom's shout, she jumped over her seat, and tried to pull her dress. She threw something and that thing landed perfectly on my Dad"s glasses, then he flicked it and surprisingly it landed on my hair..Well, thank you Mr.Caterpillar, because of you, we laughed together and decided to eat our lunch , talked and laughed. And that evening in the city park was meaningful for us.( I am sorry not to post my picts here Alice )
You sound like a very active person with those hobbies and glad to know you gave up hunting because killing for sport when a lot of people are starving just does not add up for me anyways. I think the snapshot of your baby boy on your profile pic looks like a fine story to me!:)
Glad to share it Expector and btw congratulations for writing all those very informative blogs over the weekend! What a good read from you! Thanks! :)
