Barkat (Blessing) in Waqt (Time)
So many passions! There is a blessing most commonly uttered in Indo-Pak, “BARKAT”. Barkat in foods, honor (Art Fun), health is understandable. But it took me a long time to understand BARKAT in Waqt (time). How it is possible to bestow blessing of (or in) time when time has its limitation in ‘life time’ of an individual. Then by chance I attended a lecture on the topic. The speaker explained that this particular aspect of Barkat in waqt (Blessing of time) is purely spiritual and directly linked between God and Subject. He then gave examples. Every individual commonly has around 40 years of his/her practical/professional life. There are number of people who could not have done a single creative work in their lives. But at the same time there are writer, thinkers, philosopher, scientists, soofis (spiritualists) who have done tons of creative works, written dozens of books within the same span of practical life. So that is BARKAT IN WAQT (Blessing of time) and it is purely a spiritual matter.
