NATIONAL HEROS
A national hero is the person, who devotes his life for welfare of mankind, his nation and his country. Everyone loves his nation, but the one who loves mankind and devotes himself for the welfare of mankind without caste and creed, but we Pakistanis are lucky to have one such outstanding personality, and he is Maulana Sattar Edhi, who has been serving the humanity since his youth. Now for past several years his wife Bilquis Edhi also joined him in his mission.
Maulana Sattar Edhi and his wife are the most famous and important social workers in our country. They both work day and night for the welfare and progress of poor people in distress.
Maulana Sattar Edhi migrated to from soon after partition and though quite young, he established small social welfare centers one after another. In 1966 he married a nurse of one of his welfare centre Bilquis who herself devoted to the service of human beings. Mrs. Bilquis Edhi, a woman of great courage and strong determination co-operated with Maulana Edhi in his welfare works.
The Edhi foundation of Maulana Edhi keeps free ambulance and mobile dispensaries all over country. The trust has more than 200 welfare centers across the country to help ill and injured poor people with free medical care, food, clothing and shelter.
The life mission of Maulana Edhi and Bilquis is, firstly to help people who get injured in accidents, floods, earthquakes, wars, etc. with medical treatment and monetary support. Secondly, they aim at helping poor and helpless men, women and children and students to start working and earning honorably. Maulana Edhi and his wife Bilquis themselves live a very simple life and spent most of their time and money they collect on the well-being of the suffering humanity.
We are very proud of having such loving persons and we should be thankful to our God that He has bestowed upon us with Maulana Edhi and Bilquis Edhi who spread love where no ordinary person do not have courage to go. They both are our real heroes of this period.

And of course, we can't forget our heroes like, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah our leader the founder of Pakistan, Sir Sayed Ahmed khan who worked for our national language Urdu and tried his best to spread the knowledge by building Universities and schools, Sir Allama Muhammad Iqbal who inspired the youth by his poems and great ideas, Dr. Abdul Qadeer khan the living legend who made us proud of our country and let us live freely without any fear by making Pakistan a nuclear power! Oh, the list is so wide that we can't mention the names and works of our heroes!

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is the greatest hero of Pakistan for all the time. He was the founder of our country. There will be no heroes of his calibre in the time to come to our future history.
The heroes I mentioned are of the present time, there may be others who if surpass the services of these two people. But at the present time there are but not up to there equal.
