Comment Etiquette:
My friend Seeker has already covered some main Etiquettes in his blog. Such topic is very confined, and stick to the same points covered by other bloggers and repetition is unavoidable. However, as I have pointed out in my earlier blog that blogging is all about comments, so:
1. I it makes the reader obliged to respond by his/her comment/s.
2. A learner has delicate sensitivity, so if the comments have the same polite delicacy then it will give an encouraging impact.
3. If the comments are constructive, they are a true lesson to learn for the writer, but merely praising or criticizing are also welcome.
4. Comments like ‘good work’, keep it up, are emotionless, but they are also needed.
5. The readers if has the knowledge, do make corrections and advice how to re-fix the error.
6. Most of us members are learners and want to comment, they are welcome, my advice is that if the seniors and/or teachers see the errors in comments they should correct them, too. It will help the learner/commentators to improve.
Comments
Yes, it does happen, with me, too.
I agree with you Mishaikh!
But sometimes, a blog post put a spellbound on a person that he is unable to think of the praising words and end up on saying well done! Keep it up! LOL, it's me, I'm talking about myself! sometimes your and others blogs left me so speechless that I end up saying well done!
Although, a learner feels encouraged by comments! :)
Thanks saba for your kind attention.
Thanks, Noor, good to see you after quite a long time.
i think..!! reading blog and then putting comment is also a big work for the members who have no time for writing because for writing blog(required alot of time) for beginners.. but the point is everyone must try to write something.. its give knowledge to readers...
And comments on a blog is really necessary for writer(who write the logger), coz everybody write something for taking feedback...comments gives courage, confident about his/her writing..
good work.. nice writing.!!!
Good work and keep it up :D :D
Sometimes all viewpoints are said in comments and the commentator has nothing new to add so she/ he has to say nice work or keep it up :)
Nice work!
I'll try to make corrections when I see the 'correction tag' or I see a common mistake in a blog. I don't try to correct every mistake in a blog because some of the mistakes are just typos which can be corrected by the blogger. I never tried to correct mistakes in comments, though.
Responses such as 'nice work', 'good job', or 'great' can be so encouraging, though they may sound too brief.
By the way, could you fix this sentence 'The readers if has the knowledge,..'?
@Usra
When you are expecting the detailed comments, but receive the ones I referred, it seems emotionless, but after all something is better than nothing.
Dear Eva, there's nothing wrong for people who only put comments on blogs. I mean they also need correction for their comment, *if they wish for that. And the correction is on the comment too, like Mishaikh did to my comment.
It is true . But is the seniors or teachers can be able to give their valuable time here ?
