As a car, I'm so pleased I'm so popular now - more and more people are using me, and some people even can't imagine a life without me. That's music to my ears. But I'm a bit concerned about how you are using me. I can give you some advice about how to make good use of me, though.

Be aware of my exhaust gas

Some people call it waste gas or exhaust fumes. I'm glad some of you have already realized I'm to blame for the worse air quality, too.  Don't you think there are already too many of us on the roads?  So do abstain from me - don't buy me if you don't really need me or if you can go by bus or by bike or on foot. Unfortunately, I'm still the epitome of wealth in some areas. And, even though you have already owned me, use me when necessary.

Be careful when you're driving me

Don't you think there've already been so many traffic accidents? So many lives were lost. So you have a good reason to drive carefully. It's safety that really matters. You really don't need to drive so fast. What concerns me so much is there are still so many people who are totally unware of the danger. Try to have me checked or repaired before driving, which may result in a decrease in the death rates.

Don't leave anything valuable in me

Before you get off me, try to check if there's something valuable which you need to take with you rather than leave it in me. Some people may try to steal what you left in me by breaking in. It's not just that you'll lose the wallet or something else. You'll have to take me to the 4S store for the repairment. Some people even keep a baby in me after leaving.

Try to get more exercise by leaving me behind

It's no good driving a lot. When you drive, you're cutting down the time which you need for exercises such as walking, jogging. I may also be to blame for obesity or heart attacks or diabetes.

Good luck in driving me!

  • Hi Onee, Roman,

    Thanks for the enjoyable comments, which really made my day - hats off to you!

    Sorry but I've been a little busy recently - I'll try to find more time to write and comment here on MyEC.

    Cheers!

  • Hi Expector Smith! Thank you for sharing such a good blog! Btw where are you? Why don't you post new blogs and discussions?

  • Dear Doc,

    I do really love this kind of writing. :) So scientific but in a fun way of writing.

    I like these words, "...don't buy me if you don't really need me or if you can go by bus or by bike or on foot". :D Some people really do that, they bought, but don't use it often or it's not a necessary.

    Oh, What? Leaving a baby on the car? :o I watched a video about that. The baby could die at once. :(

    And the last....LOL..... This is so true that people become lazy to do exercise or even walk. :D Obesity and heart attacts threaten us...

    Thank you so much for your awesome blog. ^_^

  • @Seeker
    Nice comment. Thanks.

  • @femina

    Try to buy one when you really need to have one - don't be so afraid of car accidents.

    @Rajesh

    Yes, that's such a sad yet real story.

    @Mishaikh

    Yes, you could say that again. Cars can be so practical and charming - nothing is perfect, though.

  • @Tara

    Thanks so much for the comment. That's a sad yet real story -  a car thief killed the baby in the car that he stole - a careless father left his baby in the car. The thief didn't expect there was a baby when he was trying to steal the car. The baby was crying so badly when the thief was driving and he didn't know how to handle a situation like that,  and then he decided to kill the poor baby. The thief must have known he was wanted by the police. Almost the whole nation was surprised by the news.

    And, thanks for pointing out my typos - I really appreciate it. I should have proofread it twice. I did rush things there - I've learned my lesson. I was wondering if you could help point out those sentences that may be grammatically correct but unnatural - that's one of the reasons that I added the correction tag.

  • @shabab

    Thanks!

    @Luci

    Yes, cars could be so convenient. You don't need to stay in line waiting for a bus if you have a car - imagine that you need to take your daughter to the swimming class, and then after just two hours you also have to fetch your son from the kindergarten.

    @Sandra

    Thank you for the comment. It sounds like you or somebody else in your family suffered a car accident. If so, I'll be so sorry, but these things happen. Cars can be a double-eged sword.

    @afo

    Yes, traffic jam could be so annoying, but you have to use a car. That's why you can't imagine life without a car while you hate to join the line of cars.

    @Elen

    I hope you can have your own car soon, even though you do need to be careful when you'e driving a car.

    @saba

    If you're worried about so many cars on the roads, then you're not alone - so many people are. Even a good driver need to drive carefully, too.

  • @noasl

    Thanks for the comment. Yes, it's so convenient and sometimes necessary to use a car.

    @Cup

    I'm so glad you find this blog interesting.

  • There may be lots of disadvantages for not owning you my dear CAR, but I have personally experienced benefit for not having a CAR, but I do not find myself taking my eyes away from you beauty.

  • I am wondering, where in people leave kids in you. :)

    Thank you for your advice, dear Car.
