Writing Challenge #9: An Obituary for Michael Jackson

Some people loved Michael Jackson; some people loathed him. Hands up if you have danced to his music?

In memory of "The King of Pop" let's write a group obituary. An obituary is a notice of a person's death that contains details about his or her life. In this challenge, each member can write a few sentences about Michael Jackson. Try to include new information each time. (Keep in mind that an obituary is not a place to write personal opinions.)

*Don't worry about the order of the information. When all of the writing is submitted I will reorder and present it for the club to read in "obituary form".

Information to include in an obituary:

background info (his family, birthplace, childhood)
cause of death
accomplishments
main life events
who he is survived by (his children)

In his songs, pop king Michael Jackson was raising the following issues, such as racial problems faced by minorities, world peace, and reaching out to those in need( “From the Bottom of My Heart”). In 1998, Michael Jackson along with Luciano Pavarotti and Elizabeth Taylor performed a benefit concert for starving North Korean children on the demilitarized zone which separates North and South Korea.

We are very very sad to announce the passing out of the 'King of Pop'. He probably died of heart attack, even though it is impossible to know the exact cause of his death until the coming out of the result of the investigation. He is the most popular music superstar in the world. The world is in shock.
