Writing Challenge #24: Blog Action Day

Water...a wonderful scenery...just a beautiful river...that's what you can think when looking at this picture and sometimes we fail to notice the most important thing... it's a huge source of life!Did you know? The river on this picture (Dnipro or Dnieper) performs a very important role not only for Ukraine but also for Russia and Belarus.

It provides many people with water and electricity, nothing to say about the joy you get when playing in it's serene waters and the relief you feel when just splashing it and see the drops gaily glister in the sun and when you just watch and hear the waves lap on the river banks. What a relaxation it gives to you! Water has a healing and damaging effect at the same time. It's a wonder that can't be perceived. Sometimes people take water for granted and don't think it's precious and as a result use it thoughtlessly and waste it. Of course, you always understand the true importance of water and treat it like something divine when in the middle of the day (the sun is baking the streets, the air is stiffling, the terrible heat is killing ) you suddenly feel the urge to have at least a drop of cold water and what a joy you feel when finally you get it (yeah, in this case you are ready to worship that bottle of an icy "rescuer"). And what scene you can spot when you finally get home and you are powewrful because you have a airconditioner? Well...everybody has his own answer...Can you imagine your day without water? I can but don't want to. Why? I experience it very often as the situation with water in Ukraine is similar to that dreadful situation in most countries. The running water stinks and you can't drink it (of course if you are fond of extreme and not scared of dangerous diseases you can relish this "tasty and clean" water ) and even after taking a shower you can smell that wonderful "fragrance" of chlorine on your body... but still when sometimes I wake up in the morning and gaily (almost dancing) going to the shower suddenly find out that there is no water...well...I'd better be quiet now or I will be banned for using slang (kidding)... it's just something extremely terrible for me. You need water for so many purposes, actually you need it for everything, by the way, you can live without water only for 5 days at most.Water is a unique treasure. Protect it!Don't do this...

  • It's good you see your mistakes yourself :)
  • Hi!
Sorry I made a bad grammar mistake, in my comment...
I wrote: ...even for those who don't would need them
I am sorry because I had to write like this: " ...even for those who wouldn't need them.."
    Right?
    Bye
  • It's sad because lots of people waste water while the others die of lack of water...
  • You are really ok, good! You did a beautiful representation of your region and have also sent a nice message about how and what should be done or not done in relation to water, as the most precious gift of creation.
I agree with you. Water is the most precious thing there is on our planet ... there is no form of life where the water is not the major ingredient ... without water... better not thinking it...but how do you not think that many people still die due to lack of water? In fact, today the water issue is still unresolved, for many people forced to live in areas of drought...while others make a bad use, or are consuming without the savings. This is the contradiction that is still with us, in spite of globalization, that by the way is advertising its products, even for those who don't would need them, but of a good glass of water yes, they need it.
    Bye.

  • You are right my dear friend, and it's good that most of us understand the importance to protect water :)
  • Thank you dear Deuce for this blog. Water is our life. We should protect it. Every one should start ask him/herself at first: "How I spent this precious water? Am I waste it in unreasonable way?" It's a pity but people like to rest at nature near ponds or river and they often leave a garbage there. Hate this attitude.
  • Exactly Salih, thank you for reminding :)
  • Sometimes the pictures can be even worse.
Thank you for your comment :)
  • What a wonderful river, thanks for the pictures... and the last two, unfortunately every time they´re more common.
  • Thank you for reading dear :)
