Anatole France was right when he said until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened. Animals bring you instant happiness.Isn't it true? Let me tell you one story. This story is about the relation between a human being and a bird.Rozi likes birds a lot, she always likes to feed them. At her home she fixed a place where she placed 2 pots for birds, 1 for water and 1 for food. One day she went outside with her family. Her car stopped in a traffic jam she was getting bored so she looked in the surrounding, suddenly she heard a parrot’s whistle she wanted to know that from where that voice came? After few min she saw a parrot in the car which was behind her car. That parrot was so attractive. Her kids pointed it out and wanted to touch it, but she didn't allow to touch as she didn't know the people who were sitting in the carWhen the traffic moved and both cars were going on the way her hubby saw the other car’s driver and told Rozi that he's my old friend! Now her kids shouted that we know them, so we want to touch that parrot.Rozi's husband gave a stop sign to that driver. They stopped the car on the roadside. The father moved out and met his friend. Both were happy for this incident. They gathered for some time. After that he requested him that his children wanted to touch the parrot. His friend allowed them to touch it.When his friend asked for permission, his younger daughter was starting to cry that I want to play with it more so his friend offered him to get the parrot. The father refused his offer, but his friend forced him to take it. So he took the parrot. Now that parrot was a new member of their home. At the beginning Rozi didn't feel comfortable with the parrot. She didn't like his presence in her life. All the time she felt irritated by its presence. She didn't take care of him. She liked birds, but she didn't like to put them in the cage so she fought so many times with her kids for that. Kids didn't hear her and wanted to do what they want. They checked its food and water daily, but one day they forgot.Rozi was little upset on that day so when she heard parrot’s whistle, she shouted at him, but parrot didn't stop whistling so she went near its cage and saw the empty bowls. She got hurt, she took off bowls and filled them with water and food. When she put bowls in the cage, parrot started to lick her hand. She felt softer in her heart. She liked that touch. She felt a change in her mood. She sat near to the cage and saw how it was eating food and drinking water. She forgot to do her house chores. When the doorbell rang, she woke up like she was sleeping with open eyes. Her kids were at the door. They asked about the lunch. Rozi replied them that she forgot to make lunch as she sat with the parrot and time passed very quickly. She said, just wait for half an hour I will make something for you. You may go and take a bath, and then you may play with the parrot. Kids obeyed her advice. After one hour they had their lunch and again wanted to play with the parrot, but now Rozi says, it's my turn to play with it. The kids were surprised. They asked “Are you serious mom? Do you want to play with the parrot?" She replied, "yes, I want to sit with it." Kids were happy to see this. Now day by day Rozi was attached with the parrot. She took care of him like her kids. She started to give him food on time. The parrot also got too much attached to her. Parrot recognized her presence. When she came, the parrot literally talked to her. She felt good where as her kids, they got angry, they used to say, "mom, we brought this parrot, why is it attached to you?" But she didn't answer..The parrot, by listening her foot steps, came and sat on her shoulder, it bit her earrings and ears and she felt amazing. Day by day Rozi started to recognize its whistle, its needs. She started to identify that what it wanted. That shows that animals also need attention and love...Animals also feel, they feel good when someone cares.. That's why it's said, "THERE IS NO FUNDAMENTAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MAN AND ANIMALS IN THEIR ABILITY TO FEEL PLEASURE AND PAIN, HAPPINESS AND MISERY!
Dear jyoti, interesting story. I belive that we shouldn't bother animals. I have never had any animals around me; maybe that's why I don't feel comfortable with them.
In most cases, an animal can save the life of a dying person. When my mom's health declined and she was admitted to the hospital, we thought that she reached the last stage of her life. Her condition left us no trace of recovering. All her laboratory tests were negative, so we accepted the fact that her illness was due to her aging.
When we went back home, we noticed some weak improvements. Later, she regained some strength in exchange for our dog's death.
I was also saved by our pet before so I firmly believe that animals can really take the place of their masters.
By the way, you are a very productive writer, Jyoti. In just a short time, you have written a lot of blogs. Congratulations, dear! And all your blogs are all nice to read.
