Chatting has become a pleasant past time, for many reasonsTo get to know people around the world.Interacting with people, for the pleasure of listening to the distinct accents and speech from all over the world and regions.Research, Educational purposes and for Discussions. In a language site as in My EC, where the social club chat room is moderated., how would you my dear EC friends ,react? Is itGeez dead room!No proper topic for chattersNothing much ,very casual, just Hi how are ya? where are you from? How would you find fitting at the chat mingled with fresh faces / learners native and fluent speakersSuggestion of innovative topics.Word or language games, for developing the vocabulary skills.Suggesting voice chat to one or many members so that their confidence will enhance speaking with Native speaker/sLast not least encouraging the learner to use the English learners site at English Club, by helping them, for example , discussing the idiom of the day interacting and constructing more sentences .Looking forward to more ideas and topics which would be ideal at the chat room.
Chatting is a good way to practice your English, at least in a written way. You may also learn new things about it, an also about culture and customes of people in different countries.
Chats can be informal for sharing, having a nice relaxing time with friends, or there could be some more formal chats where mistakes can be corrected, or questions about the language could be asked.
Rule number one should be to respect others. Unfortunately, as in any room, bad people could come in at any time. Maybe there should be an "ignore" button as in the 1997 chatroom, or have a moderator to help us, like in the former room 1. either with warnings or making bad chatters leave.
It would be good to have a topic or suggest one, and of course.. encouraging the users, involving them. Sometimes we are shy or don't know what to say, or how to say it.
we should follow these rules because we should keep one thing in our mind that why we are here, what we want to learn from here so we can get the result in time
