Here is my personal answerFirstly I want to write what I think. I want to express my feeling about things happen in my life. When we are happy we want to share our happiness. When we are sad we want to write out. By that way we will feel better.Nobody knows who I am so expressing our felling seems easier.Secondly here in MyEC we can practice our English by writing blogs. Many other friends are possibly willing to help us to correct our mistakes. So we can learn English efficiently.On the other hand, comments of other members in the motivation to write. We have the ability to connect with many friends from different countries, different cultures. It is nice to communicate with them.I think the second answer is the main reasons for almost members here to write a blog. I’m sure most of them don’t write a blog to be featured!

To Evangelina: yes it is very good if our blog is feature. It means that we wrote something that people think it is good. So it is not a "big deal" but it is also not "who cares". Do you agree with me :)
Ann, I do agree with you. Members write blogs for many reasons. And Ilike to read blogs and give comments to motivate members and practice. Thank you for your post.

Agree with you Ann. I like writing as everybody else could like writing. Anytime i get free time, i would take a pen and paper to write anything on my mind. there was a time I got so obsessed with writing even i wrote so many letters to my imaginary friend I name him Vincent, too bad he never answered for the heaven sake.
i write blogs and post in EC because i want to learn and fix my mistake by get corrected by others. i wont waste my writing by hide it on diary, no more. I want to know if people like my writing or not. just imagine people are reading it give me a lot of excitement.
who doesn't like his/her blog be featured? for me it is an extra bonus and a part of motivation like feedback, comment and correction i got.
