Here is my personal answerFirstly I want to write what I think. I want to express my feeling about things happen in my life. When we are happy we want to share our happiness. When we are sad we want to write out. By that way we will feel better.Nobody knows who I am so expressing our felling seems easier.Secondly here in MyEC we can practice our English by writing blogs. Many other friends are possibly willing to help us to correct our mistakes. So we can learn English efficiently.On the other hand, comments of other members in the motivation to write. We have the ability to connect with many friends from different countries, different cultures. It is nice to communicate with them.I think the second answer is the main reasons for almost members here to write a blog. I’m sure most of them don’t write a blog to be featured!

Last time I wrote a lot of blogs on Yahoo. After a long time without using it, I found that Y!Blog no longer exits. People does not use it any more. It likes our memories was stolen. So I just hope I will not have the same trouble here.
Dear Ann! I believe nobody will delete your blogs as you have never said anything wrong. Your blogs are so sincere! I see no reason for them to be deleted.
As to "write out". In fact, you can write so, but you should put it in quotes ".." like I do. There is a phrasal verb "to speak out" that expresses what you mean, but it is not very literal to use it because you write here. You can use "speak out" , but you should quote it, too.
Let me correct you a little again. It should be "smile at my memories"
Writing blogs is putting all your thoughts and feelings to all your friends and strangers without getting interrupted and judged. :D :D :D It also as a 'record' of our thoughts and feelings at that particular of time or topics. If a camera captured our views and mood, our blogs also the same.
Dear Danny, thank you! When I wrote "write out", I was not sure about it. At last I decided to write. So "write out" is not suitable in this situation. :)
I think every one needs to express our feeling. If we don't find any one, I think writing diary or something like that is very helpful. Of course having someone to tell is much better.

Dear Ann! It is a very nice blog! Sure, people write blogs because of different reasons, but in my opinion the main idea of writing blogs is to share our ideas with others. You are 100% right in what you have said. Our post is like a diary. If someone cares to know what we think or dream about, what bothers us, what makes us feel sad or upset or happy, what makes us think about this and that, he will find it out reading our blogs. I am very much impressed with Peppo's comment! There were times when I was about to do the same although I was rather successful and well-secured, but there was nobody around to share my thoughts and ideas. It is different now, but I still like expressing my mind in the virtual space. Anny, you know, neither Tanya nor me need practicing English. We write our blogs and discussions for all of you to "hear" us because we would like to share our knowledge and our experience with others. On the other hand, we are just human beings and would like to "write out" as you say (in fact, "to write out" means different. It means that you write down something reading a text. It should be "express my mind" or "speak on the subject" or..., depends on the situation). Anyway, Eve expressed my mind when she said she writes blogs to send a message.
Well, writing blogs is a good idea for everyone. and, of course, writing any blog we never think about being featured. But being featured is always pleasant. Anny, you are right again, when we are featured it means that others are not indifferent to what we say
