Being one of the Proditors of MyEC, now returned and repentant, I considered it to be my duty to post a reply to Mr.Bob's blog post "Where Have They Gone? We Still Love Them!" There should be millions of valid and justified reasons for Them to leave MyEC...not understood unless experienced. Based on my shrewd personal observations I hereby reveal the mystery of Gone.To perceive and comprehend all Their reasons for abandoning the family one should learn and discern the Types of "Proditors" of MyEC :
Bear-Proditor
To this group belong those who actually don't go anywhere, those who are always around...peeping in every now and then but they just prefer to seclude themselves from a stormy life of EC to take a long-awaited peaceful sleep. They always come back after a so-called hibernation.
Stop breaking your head trying to find the reasons for them not to be present at MyEC. It's so simple: they could have joined the monastery, or gone to the top of Everest to find the inner peace....technology is not that high nowadays to provide internet connection on the top of Everest to visit EC. There is nothing to worry about... you'll see them wandering, exploring and devouring EC world again...one can't resist his nature - bears get terribly hungry once awakened. Most of you must be wondering and thinking now..."why not try and help the bear-proditor to wake up?"- the prompt for such a thought is the desire to bring our friends back faster, sincere desire to help. Here is the answer :
Never try to wake up a peacefully sleeping bear
You can awake a fearful monster-just be aware.
So just wait...what can be better than a starving bear - a starving person for knowledge and communication?
Bird-Proditor- A Bird of Passage
To this group belong those who can't stay at the same place for a long time. Those who continuously migrate. It's a very agile and adventurous type. Once bird-proditors decide that they fully exhausted MyEC environment, they start seeking for vital nutrition outside the habitat. There can be only one valid reason for them to leave MyEC : they must be wandering around the world, exploring new horizons, making their lifetime dream come true. There is nothing to worry about , bird-proditors are short-distance migrators. They always hover around EC, waiting for the right season to come back.
What happens if you try to prevent a bird-proditor from migrating? - the hunger for nourishment withers in no time.
Never try to cage a bird that loves to flutter
Of its wings you will be the deadly cutter.
So just wait... what can be better than a singing bird comming back home - a person starting a new season in his/her life, full of joy, new experience and knowledge to share with the family?
Chameleon-Proditor
To this group belong those who never leave MyEC but they are considered to be Gone. Simple delusion. Chameleon-Proditors change their appearance in EC by changing nicknames but they can never dare to leave this safe habitual place as they are scared of unknown. They tend to be very watchful conservative and moody. EC is a place for them where they can hide. So when somebody is trying to dig too deep into their life a natural protective instinct works. The moment you approach a chameleon-proditor too close he/she prefers to move away. They simply don't want to disclose themselves not to be hurt. Their "disappearance" depends on their mood. When excited and happy, chameleon-proditors have a great appetite for learning and communication. When sad, they prefer seclusion. So they socialize much to a certain point, then stay aloof for some time and come back under a different disguise, that is a different nickname. What if you try to help a chameleon-proditor to open up, to stop masking? - It will run away.
Never try a camouflaged chameleon to disclose
It will elude, hide and stay forever enclosed.
So just wait and look around...your new friend may be your old lost friend...what can be better than a chameleon with new bright colours - a person with new brilliant ideas?
They may be just playing hide and seek with you to check how well you know your friends.
Dog-Proditor
To this group belong those who never abandon MyEC willingly. The most devoted type (quite a paradox- a devoted proditor). Exiled by life. No matter which side their fate turns: black or white, they always find time to attend to their friends. No matter where they are, what they are doing they always try to find the way to drop by and say "hello". They may be absent for a month or two due to difficult circumstances in life but they will always try to keep in contact, they will always notify you before leaving. Loyal dog-proditors follow and watch their family everywhere.
Devastated, lonely, grievous, angry
To help you always they are ready.
There is nothing to worry about. They must have gone on a very important expedition... to some unknown secluded spot on the Earth, not corrupted by social networks yet...to set up MyEC community there.
Now when you are well acquainted with all the types of EC Proditors...can you tell me what is the one common feature all of them possess? - They ALWAYS come back to MyEC.
Comments
LOL. What an interesting piece of writing and simile. I really enjoy reading it
I am glad you are around.. You were one of my first supporters here 2 years ago ... You may not even know it but you were .. I hope you would come back soon..
Thanks!
Wonderful!!!
Exactly :)
Hmm, I haven't watched that unfortunately...but now I have a reason to not just watch but to hunt for that line :)
Mr. Bob, first of all thank you for stopping by :)
As I explained to Anele in my previous comment, the word "proditor" here loses it's original meaning, and it was supposed to provide only a humorous positive effect.
Dear Anele, I hope your hair came to normal now....hehehehe. Thank you for your inspiring comments.I always appreciate them.
As to the "proditor" (it has a figurative meaning in my blog, to achieve a desired humorous effect by giving it additional connotative meaning, proditor=gone member). Proditor means Prodigal son or daughter, the one who leaves home but comes back in some time.... no way a traitor!!! that's why I used it in inverted commas, to show it's exaggerated meaning...
Id' never dare to call you a traitor, my stolwart loyalist!!! :)))
Thank you so much Deuce. I love your clever spin on our types of members. If you are using proditor as the traditional (Olde English) definition of traitor, I wouldn't agree with that strong of a term. To me traitor has a more negative meaning than I would apply to our wanderers, hiders, sleepers, and devout followers.
I am glad that I am partly responsible for inspiring your lovely blog topic. You still have the same very sharp mind that I always loved. I had you picked as a bird, but certainly not as a traitor. I hope we can continue the discussion in the future. :)
We all need a good rest sometimes, mayumi...so just get your desired sleep in a cosy nook and come back, as energetic as never before :))
Thanks for stopping by!
Hi! You're very creative, deuce! I think, lol, I belong to Bear-Proditor group...:) Hibernation season is here to come again for me..But I'll always come back to MyEC..our home..
