Where do you like to read and write?

I am posting this blog as I have been facing a problem of my reading and writing habit. Now, I realize I like to read and write on a computer or a smartphone instead of reading books and writing on papers! I know, it is not a good habit and it is harmful for my eye sight! I saw an eye-specialist (Oculist) recently and he suggested that I do not read from the screen but I can not stop it yet. So, I am interested to  know what about you and would like to ask you where  you like to read and write? And, do you have any suggestions?

  • Thanks dear, ohne....happy to see you around.
  • You're right, Bet. Smartphone is more hurting...

When I get free e-book, I usually print it. We must pay attention to our health.

  • Thanks Risty.

Actually, I wrote this blog on a purpose and that was to get suggestions from you guys!

so, let me put first...1. We should take necessary breaks when we read from the screen or write on computer.

     2. we should sit properly when we do reading or writing.

    3. we should see oculist to check our eye sight. specially if we have headache or any other problem.

    4. we need to blink our eyes when we read or write on screen.

    5. We should adjust the light of our computers and the lighting of our rooms and the light which comes outside of our rooms.....I think you have more to say so please!

  • Dear Bet, I used to write on a word file though I’m thinking to have an editor or the like yet still studying if that could do any help, I also write in my notebooks about the topic I like to write about. Well, that was only a sense to go with the same flow as those pro-writers-trending thing! I only have two books that I hold hard copies these days, the Bible and an IELTS assessment test manual. I prefer books on my hand but I don’t have any argument if I have to read in online/ebook. Whichever is available, as long as it is free.

Let’s toss to that eye problem you are not alone here! Good luck to the both of us!

  • Thanks, everybody!

  • It seems we still need books despite the fact that we spend more and more time reading on the computer or smartphone. Sometimes you have to consult a book for the correct answer.

It's not a good idea, however, to prefer books to the ebook and vice versa. Neither should be overrated or underestimated.

Re correction: You say 'harmful to', not 'harmful for'. So, you should have said 'harmful to my eyesight'!

  • I can't read though online more time and its effect on my eyes and feel headache too. so I am trying to read through papers but only in only EC i try to read blog.Take care on your eyes , hope will be recover soon your eyes. thanks for sharing dear Bet.
