well, It would be easier  if I knew who you are going to talk to and why they have to  listen to you! But, of course, there are some general rules to make people listen to you...lol. And, here I am going to tell you  exactly what I do at my work place.

1. Be respectful specially if they are elder/aged people. Even it is also applicable/appreciable if/when we work with our juniors! Never try to make them down!

2. Be patience more than  you are. A smiling face always works! Though all time we can not smile and we should not do it but when we are going to greet/ when somebody comes to you, give a smile, please.

3. Show/demonstrate good manners, you know it works a lot, no matter whether you are the boos or just doing a menial job.

4. Do your task/ appear at work place/ pre-fixed destination in exact time. Then you can ask them likewise.

5. keep your words/ keep balance in your behavior. Do to change your behavior often, it makes people confused which resulted in disbelieve!

6. Sometimes you should listen to them.

7. Share your real life related examples, share some good memories, they are  motivating.

8. Your personal life is also important, if you are happy in your life you will be more successful in your workplace.

9. Avoid bullies/ leave quirks if you have.

10. Ask them to share their good deeds with you, feel them they are also have a position/value/ability to do something good/achieve  a goal!

11. Be honest/ try not to pretend all time and try to be yourself! ( tough though, this is why we should be honest/trustworthy otherwise we have to pretend all time...lol)

12. Be humane...be helpful...say thank you...
