During our China visit, we stayed most of the time in Tianjin. It is a port city. Our seminar was about economical development for Bangladesh. So, we visited its free trade zone, special economic zone, scientific park etc. But, of course we got chances to do shopping, eating outside and to roam around in some important places of this city.
In the very beginning most of the tress were barren. But after some days we enjoyed blossoms. Though not sure about their names. Some flowers were deep pink, some were whitish and red. And, of course they filled us with joy.
Second day, we went out to do shopping. But, after awhile, everybody started shivering. My condition was worse. I felt sick on the way to get a taxi. I had chest pain due to cold! But, Thanks to Almighty, then we got a taxi and I just rode into it.
How was the shopping? First faced language problem. Then suddenly sign language related idea came into my mind. I did acting to bring the calculator then it was okay.
In Tianjin we stayed in hotel Zaia. There we had hot spring bath. It was a new experience for us and we enjoyed it.
If you want to purchase foreign goods in China, you have to pay more. I wanted to buy my lotion ( made in U.S.A) but it was more costly than my country. So, I bought it after arriving in Bangladesh.
We did shopping in various malls. Obviously prices were higher! So, you may try a market, name is Tahitu. You can bargain over there. If they demand 30 Yuan, you may start from 2 yuan and can purchase by 10 yuan! But, there are also quality goods which you would not get by bargain!
There are many things to see. But, our time was limited as most of the time seminar held on all day long. So, sometimes we went out after dinner. One day the host company arranged a bus to show us Tianjin at night.
And, we enjoyed Tianjin eye, many light up buildings and the "sun and moon' bridge. If you do visit in Tianjin, you will see many European buildings over there. It is because Tianjin was a colony of many countries( French, U.K, U.S.A, Spain) in the past. At night the old architectures take another look. They seem more gorgeous!
You may visit " Asian cultural street". It is a market place where you can see their local products. It is noticeable that it is water in front, Nice view, indeed! If you are interested, you can taste their local cake. And, you may observe how they make this kind of cake too. Am I sounding interesting?
They call my country as 'Manjala.' And, I found many people specially who work with foreigners, they have English names beside their original Chinese names.
Okay, Another point for today, One day we got into a public bus. We were 3 ladies. We had no exchange. Our small note was 10 yuan. Per person fair was 2 so we asked the (sign language, of course) driver for change. He waved us to take our sit. When we were about to get down , we asked again to take our fair. But he waved again to get down!
Yes, if you wanna roam around by bus then take 2 yuan. Because there is no option to get change. So, it is better fill your pocket or purse with 2 yuan and take a bus journey! But, please do not forget to write down your hotel address in Chinese.

@ Shaila, thanks.
Teeka assay Afro! Donnobad! The bus driver should have a purse or a box full of coins or units to give balance to the passengers. In some European countries, the bus driver will tell you to get down at once if you do not have the exact ticket price. Did you enjoy the Chinese food?
Thanks a lot, shaila. Are you from Bangladesh? Nice to meet you here.
