Once I step out of my house, my bag goes wherever I go. It never leaves my side when I enter the realm of the public space. It seemed to have become my security blanket, my life vest to the point that now my mind questions; what’s really inside it that makes my body a magnet to its existence? Let’s have a look, shall we?
Wallet : long, brown durable leather so I could extend its lifespan till the next time Michael Kors goes on 50% sale, which is probably another year from now. Inside it I have bills, not money but bill notices for payments I have to settle or else our house would be bathe in darkness.
Cash that is never enough for a pair of signature shoes or that coveted designer dress but just enough for a giant wafer cone of my favorite Reese’s Chocolate Ice cream in caramel syrup.
Pictures: the items I hold most precious in my wallet because here I see my son when he was just a baby, my girl when she was so chubby and cute that she looked like a ball, my wedding picture (what a hairstyle!) and all other pictures no one else would appreciate or understand but me. Credit cards: Mine looks really lonesome as it is rarely used .
Identification Cards : Yup, the world needs to know that I am legit!
Perfume : In fresh baby scent with a bit of flower essence and another one with accords of musk and rosewood essence. Nothing like a breeze of wonderful scent to brighten my spirit or an amazing aroma to rouse the primal urges of my dear husband. You never know when you might have to go on a surprise getaway!
Cellphone : I never thought I would see myself as a techie but I need this gadget for calling my husband in case I get lost in the city, which I always do, or harassing my kids on what time they will be home, and other emergencies like scheduling lunch date with my girlfriends (a necessary agenda if you ask me), surfing the net for recipes while grocery shopping, or taking a picture of a really beautiful scene: perfect family moments needs an audience you know.
Candies : I have a sweet tooth so this is really important and besides I work with kids who are always in dire need of something sweet and chewy to calm their overexcited nerves. They’re my magic pills!
Keys : Just house keys mind you, in a small chain with a Swiss army knife- like accessories, the one that has everything you need to survive in case you get lost in the woods.
My Rosary: Reminds me every time of who I am and my purpose in life.
My bag is quite big because if I carry a small one I might forget it. I buy one big durable no frills bag that will last me a long time. It’s black because I hate to keep matching it with my clothes so with this color I’m good no matter what I’m wearing. You could say I have a good relationship with my bag, it is my home away from home and looking at the articles inside it I would have to say, “ What else does a girl need?”
So what do you say, can you tell me what's inside your purse?

I couldn't write about what I carry in my purse because it could be so boring! haha I just wear a small purse with the basic stuff. I'm too 'lazy' for carrying more weight than the necessary :D
Hi Alice,

@ Keen Learner : We are so much alike! We should have a lunch date with our "carry all" bags! Thanks for sharing here! :)

@Anah Sid: You are an epitome of the modern woman, no bags just a cellphone and you're good to go! You are like my daughter and I'm like your mom when it comes to our bags! :)
