Managers that lack leadership skills are only professionals that may lack professionalism (those qualities, character). On the contrary, leaders excel on the path of professionalism since they impress, know people management (not for the sake of managing people), they have this magnetism to attract people to follow them. New managers gradually can learn leadership through skills, knowledge and experience.
Making a difference in a profession, really pays off in terms of earning reputation, and sometime the magnetism due to on'es personal character and qualities (Golden rule: do unto others...as you wish them to do to you... )
"Team spirit attitude" as a team leader is surely reflected: 1. at good times through recognizing good team work and motivating team members and at bad times executing the action plans for accepted isssues
1) I had an experience of working with Mr. Basu my ex boss and VP Sales. His goodwill and his name in market makes him different from others. Most of the company wants him to be a part of their organisation.
2 ) I like his Team spirit attitude whenever things had done wonderfully, he has always given credit to whole Team and at time of crisis he admitted and accepted the problems as Team Leader and decided to make a plan where we were lacking
3)His down to earth nature, his respectful behaviour towards all employees from peon to junior and Team members and his Team attitude really admirable.
Ned, These are really cool qualities that make us think highly of a person. Wow! not only balancing but achieving success in 3 areas i.e. work, education, and life through consistency and perseverance.
I admire my boss who was my master in collage also. it's because she is so consistent to reach whatever she want in both educational and work life. this surprises me how she can be successful in job, manage her personal life in a great way and catch first grade in PhD exam!! I really admire consistence and also perseverance of her.
