What is the ACT?

The ACT is an entrance exam used by most colleges and universities to make admissions decisions. It is a multiple-choice, pencil-and-paper test administered by ACT, Inc.

The purpose of the ACT test is to measure a high school student's readiness for college, and provide colleges with one common data point that can be used to compare all applicants. College admissions officers will review standardized test scores alongside your high school GPA, the classes you took in high school, letters of recommendation from teachers or mentors, extracurricular activities, admissions interviews, and personal essays. How important ACT scores are in the college application process varies from school to school.

Overall, the higher you score on the ACT and/or SAT, the more options for attending and paying for college will be available to you.

What is the BMAT?

The BioMedical Admissions test is a subject-specific pre-interview admissions test. It aims to differentiate between candidates in a field where most will be performing academically at the very highest level. It is intended to be a test that challenges, and one that candidates are advised to prepare for by familiarizing themselves with the format, and past papers. All candidates wishing to apply for Biomedical Sciences at the University of Oxford are required to register for and sit the BMAT. The BMAT is owned and administered by Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing. You can find further information on the test on their BMAT website. What is Cambridge IGCSE ?

Cambridge IGCSE is the world’s most popular international curriculum for 14-16 year olds, leading to globally recognised and valued Cambridge IGCSE qualifications. It is part of the Cambridge Secondary 2 stage.

What Is Advanced Placement?

Advanced Placement ( AP ) is a program run by the College Board (the makers of the SAT-II ) that allows you to take courses at your high school, which can earn you college credit and/or qualify you for more advanced classes when you begin college.

Why the IB is

The International Baccalaureate (IB), formerly known as the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), is an international educational foundation headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland . It offers four educational programmes: the IB Diploma Programme and the IB Career-related Programme for students aged 16 to 19, the IB Middle Years Programme for students aged 11 to 16, and the IB Primary Years Programme for children aged 3 to 12.To teach these programmes, schools must be authorized by the International Baccalaureate.

What is TOEFL?

TOEFL stands for Test of English as Foreign Language, is an exam required by most US and Canadian university to prove proficiency(especially for international students coming from countries where English is not native language) in English. It measures your listening, reading, speaking and writing skills to perform academic tasks in English. Many Universities in Europe and other countries also accept TOEFL (IELTS is popular outside the USA). The popularity of TOEFL is growing and its score is accepted for Immigration to NZ, Australia!

O-Level is is a subject-based qualification conferred as part of the General Certificate of Education. It was introduced as part of British educational reform alongside the more in-depth and academically rigorous A-level. The test is for students in Grade 10-11.

A-level is a main school leaving qualification in the UK and international schools in some countries. The test has 2 sessions; in May- June and in October – November.

GCSE is the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) is a set of exams taken in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and other British Territories. They are usually taken by students aged 15-16, after two years of study. GCSE has more than 40 subjects to choose. This GCSE is a specific education system. Students can choose what they want to further study and will be beneficial to their future careers. So, this GCSE is a fundamental step of their future careers.

What is TOEIC?

The Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC®) is a multiple-choice English language proficiency test for people whose native language is not English. It measures their English comprehension, speaking, writing and reading skills in an international environment. The scores indicate how well people can communicate in English with others in business, commerce and industry.
