Whatever I am writing here that is my personal view.
Happiness is a term that has different - different meaning in different-different context. According to my think, Every people can have their own definition. For few people It can be money or physical satisfaction or mental satisfaction or anything else, It depends upon the persons. But, Out of all these things there is one thing common in all the situations that is satisfaction. But, there is a question what is a satisfaction? and I think It's a genuine question until you will not get it's answer u cant get the meaning of happiness.
My personal opinion is "full-filling of personal desire is satisfaction". And once you get your desire you get Happiness. So, we can say that full-filling of personal desire is happiness. Let's take an example : suppose my personal desire is "to get a good home or to get a good life partner" so, this thing is my desire and whenever I will get it, Automatically It will convert in to my happiness.

@ Garima- Dear friend, I think Happiness depend upon the desire, and we know that every man has his own desire (It can be anything like: love, spirituality, money, Health etc).

i don't think so happiness is a state of mind u can't get happiness after getting anything in life sooner u feel sad if ur happiness depend on things and desires.
